I've been playing for a few months, and have never seen it. I did kill a guy, watch him fall, begin to wiggle and then fire off into the air like a rocket. My son was watching me play. We were laughing our asses off.

For some reason I couldn't reply to your reply... Weird. Anyway, I would like to think that it is not ONLY so they can make a sequel, but I am sure that is on their minds. I think it more so they can nail down the new engine, and get the planet based combat working well. It takes time to bring a new game to market. I would rather the game play really well than for it to be loaded with features and suck.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more on this. Heavenly Sword remains one of my favorite games, and I really liked the way they handled Devil may Cry.

I will not buy a Metal Gear game without Kojima. Ever. My son bought Metal Gear Bayonetta, and I did play through it, but it did not feel at all like Metal Gear. I did like it, but Metal Gear it's not.

Believe it or not, I was more excited about Silent Hills. I'm a bit concerned about MGS 5 being open world. I know there's probably no reason to worry, but I do wonder if it is going to truly feel like Metal Gear. You'd think my mind would be at ease after playing Ground Zeros, but nope.

There is a huge counterpoint to your theory. As a matter of fact, the PS4 is the has done larger numbers than any other console in history time in market considered. The huge budgets are the bigger problem, I think, when it comes to issues in game development. I think Ninja Theory has got the solution nailed with their new direction. I hope other devs learn from what they are doing.
