I think it boils down to, nobody really wants to see a guys thing bouncing around. They're not the nicest thing to look at. It don't stop Game of Thrones though. Dante's Inferno, I think it was, had a giant devil dick in it.
I would like to pretend that Shadowfall never happened. It didn't feel like Killzone.
As far as development, it could still be handled by Guerilla, like Naughty Dog does with The Last of Us, and Uncharted.
You can download the original Killzone from the PSN. It's fantastic. It's still my favorite FPS ever made. I highly recommend checking it out.
