I have to agree with you as well, even though I am getting a PS3 I am getting it for the games, the only thing I care about associated with Blue Ray is probably the extended edition FFVII Advent Children movie and maybe buying my Stargate SG1/Atlantis sets all over again, but that is besides the point since I do not really care about next-gen format at the moment unless all the different companies come together to create one unified format like they did with the DVD format.

First off all the MP3 market has not taken over the CD market, they are not dead a lot of people still buy them, the reason why the MP3 market does well is because a lot of people are fed up with having to pay a large price for Cd's with possibly only one or two songs that they might want when they can just pay for the songs that they want insted. Not everyone is thrilled about on line downloads for video games since it is completely different to downloading movies or TV shows, people want to actually make sure that there game is protected from having the data corrupted or lost which they then have to download all over again and even have to start the game over from the beginning. Also having a game on a disc insures for the developers that it would be a lot harder for people to copy some of there game data an be used Illegally.
If anyone bothered to look at both reviews for the PS3 and 360 you would notice that gamespot just basically cut and paste the 360 Review into the PS3 review and only marked it down one point and the Graphics and two points on the overall score.

Exactly since the Wifi and Memory card Slots are relly the only difference between the two models and since you can just swap out the Hard Drive what size hard dive you want the point becomes mute.
This is kind news was known since E3 last year here in Australia and everyone is acting on this website like they just suddenly found out that it was going to cost $1000 AUD for the 60 gig version.
