being an industry vet(i left games a while ago) i can tell you how it works. testers find bugs, report bugs, then engineers complain about bugs, try to say they're "tester bugs". the engineers argue with producers about bugs to try to get them waved or have their priority lowered so the game can launch with the bugs in it.
then the game goes off to sony, nintendo, or MS for test. and even then, a lot of the bugs found by these other testers are waved because the...
