There won't be another Uncharted without Naughty Dog giving the OK. Unlike MS, Sony has many other ips that they can make money on. You really believe that Sony NEEDS to milk Uncharted to death? Man they just released Horizon Zero Dawn which is now a new franchise they clearly made money on. Sony has the luxury to not lean on one single ip, they have a boat load of them.
It shipped a million. Remember these are only the first week and the retail copies clearly didn't meet demands so it could only sell so much in a week before it ran out. I would bet the second and third week numbers would put the entire total closer to 1 million

Naughty Dog has enough talent to do just about any genre they want. The issue is that whatever they decide to work on they have to 100% believe in. They have it in them for sure.
Joel and Ellie have replaced Nathan Drake as PlayStation's top icon. I would put Aloy on the same level as Kratos, Ratchet and Clank or Sackboy.

I only know 1 person IRL that has a Xbox One but he also owns a PS4 and plays that more. Such a turnaround from lastgen where in the U.S., most people played on 360.
It's going to take something monumental for Microsoft to catch the same mind share they had with 360

A) Are you implying that this game would have done better on Xbox? I highly doubt it
B) This type of thing happens when there is almost no marketing for a game's release.

Lot of different opinions in the PS community recently about this. Some say Horizon Zero Dawn is the best PS4 exclusive (ala Colin Moriarty), I've heard many others put their stake in for Bloodborne as well. Personally I still think Uncharted 4 is PS4's crown jewel so far.
Great thing is, everyone is right and I like that we all have our favorite exclusive to choose from and that it's not a unanimous thing. It shows how diverse our community is and how Sony has...
200,000 in Japan alone? That is amazing, just wait until it releases everywhere else. Horizon Zero Dawn just came out yesterday and now a week later ANOTHER must have exclusive is around the corner. PS4 gamers are being spoiled.

I've been trying to push through Gravity Rush and Nioh at the same time. Could do it but Nioh is just so effing LONG. Got Horizon Zero Dawn's collection edition pre-orded and NieR is just too good to pass up as well after I played the demo.

I expect Ace Combat 7 will push VR sales similar to Resident EVII. Then during the holidays, you will see a huge marketing push for VR paired with Gran Turismo Sport. This doesn't even include any VR games Sony will announce at E3 or Tokyo Game Show this year.
PSVR is going to have a another great year.
