Fans of Japanese games won Q1 of 2017. Just an absolute overload, all of them stellar as well.
@donthate
How well has that worked so far for them this gen?
I personally don't think we need Sony to hint at the PS5 when it's pretty much a given. The question is not if but when. SONY I arguably coming off their most dominant performance in the gaming market since the PS2. The playstation brand is on a upswin, why wouldnt a playstation 5 n in the works.
There I no power envy, well at least from general ps fans. This is not the first time where Xbox has a power advantage. As long as Sony sticks with the games first and firs...
Really dont see the problem with talking about PS5. 9th 10 year cycle of last ten was not normal, cycles before last hen were around 4-6 years and now with these companies willing to just drop hardware when they want, some talk about a next gen system is to be expected whether Xbox got an upgrade or not. Also Japanese games and 1st party exclusives will obviously move with the next gen, so I'm not sure why you brought that up?
I actually could see a PS5 within 3 years,...
MS execs feeling themselves. When Sony kills them for the 4th year in a row they'll go back to being quiet and talking about how many grenades were thrown in Halo 36
It's sad how accurate this comment is lol
Underestimate it how? The power? Scorpio is the most recent hardware release from the 3 console manufactures so it would be odd for it to not be the most powerful console.
However, I don't think you can underestimate it in terms of it's impact on the console market. Scorpio, no matter how powerful it is, will upset the dominance that Sony has built for 4 years. It's just not possible.
And also the worst cast of supporting characters EVER in a BioWare game(yes that means even worse than DA2). Morrigan single-handedly saves that game. For all the things wrong about Mass Effect Andromeda, at least the crew mates are actually pretty enjoyable.
By the time it releases Sony will drop the price on the Pro. You could be looking at a $150 difference. That is very hard to sell to consumers when it's just a marginal upgrade from the PS4 Pro.
It sold 500,000 in Japan when it released there. 1 million in the west in just 2 days
Lol Japanese games are niche thought right guys? The Japan haters have been eating crow all year.
Next up, Ni No Kuni II
I can't wait to see how Project Scorpio effects the current gaming market, if it does at all. I think many xbox fans will go out and rush to buy it, but as far as making a dent into the strangle hold that the PS4 has built and is continuing to build for 4 years? Not a chance I think.
This game has high high's and low low's, if that makes any sense. It's not a bad game but not even close to any of the three in the original trilogy.
What's ironic is that JRPG's are on a comeback this generation yet other than them publishing NieR Automata, Square Enix are not the ones pioneering the return. Final Fantasy XV had the largest budget and development time yet is mediocre compared to the rest of the bunch. I've had more fun with Gravity Rush 2, Nioh, NieR Automata, and I can safely assume Persona 5 and Ni No Kuni II will be better as well. Then there's Zelda BOTW which we all know is probably game of the gen so...
I'd advise to do Persona 5 last. That game is just too long.
Got It pre ordered, can't wait. I know the Sony closed Liverpool Studios but maybe if this collection sells really well and has enough activity online they will green light a new Wipeout game with a second party studio
I can't wait for Scorpio. I'm not buying it, I just want to see if it lives up to the hype and if it actually gives PS4 some competition. I ultimately don't think it will make a dent into PS4's reign because this gen is already over, but if that 4K makes you Xbox fans happy go for it.
Are you high? 9 million is a crazy number for an exclusive, hell there are 3rd party games that don't reach that number. Go ask Naughty Dog or Sony if they feel disappointment with that number lol
If any developer can handle the pressure of making a sequel to one of the greatest games ever made, it's Naughty Dog. Neil Druckman explicitly stated that this sequel is being made not because Sony wanted them too or because of pressure from the fan base but because the studio truly believes this sequel is the right move for the franchise, that gives me great relief and keeps my faith that this game can actually surpass the first.
The souls series is not geared toward western audiences. Final Fantasy is though.
"The King"
Of what...gaming? Hardly
