Exactly. Sonic was the second pack in title for the Genesis. The first was Altered Beast, which WAS a launch title.
They do it with books all the time. Hardback is released then the paperback is released months later with an additional chapter. Don't get me started on movies. They double dip CONSTANTLY.

The word "Solid" in MGS never stood for Snake for me. I always equated the "solid" as meaning 3D, or referring to depth of objects. I always thought that's what the title's intention was: to differentiate it from the 2D Metal Gear.
