I mean you....did you ever play Sonic DX? they somehow downgraded it graphically and screwed up the hit collision. I'm sure this will get fixed...now I kinda wish they would port of Sonic Adventure + 2 to switch.
Also there is no reason this game shouldn't run 60 fps on switch...I would have taken a lower resolution/graphics for 60 fps.

Nintendo switch idea was by far what I was waiting for basically a majority of the console wars.
The problem is that it's execution was a little mediocre. Although I did buy and do love the console I was expecting more from the machine overall. For example, the dock actually being a boost in performance through hardware not overclocking, like a secondary GPU or CPU or something, the over clock was very disappointing...considering it's a 100$+ plastic box.

The amount of time wasted going to play the game (travel time, cost of travel, cost of hours + money spent) would come up to more than the value of the console I think...

You're kidding about looking good? The animations are stiff, the textures are bland.... Look again at the video and just take a look at the bland a lifeless indoors. There's no detail...Looking at the video just reminded me of the condemned graphics...which is not a bad thing but does looks extremely dated for this time..this seems like a friend of the devs advertising.
This is a good and bad thing though. The good, it means we might not get webkit exploits on the Switch. So it might last a little longer before being easily hacked. The bad, well it's sometimes convenient to have a browser on the same device. Xbox one had the best one because of the splitview. But really we can all just bust out our phones or laptops to do this now.
I really wouldn't mind having a pure gaming device, so performance and quality is focused on the game...

Yes it does. It's need to evolve just like the gaming industry has. Try playing the originals vs the new ones...as a non-nostalgia challenge. AS current gen gamers, they won't enjoy the orginals as much as the currents...especialyl since the limited memory and how much they could do before
Sonic Adventure and SA2 actually play pretty differently. While both are story driven, one is open world(ish) and the other is streamline levels.
I personally loved SA1 just because it felt more like a fast platformer, while SA2 (which I did prefer the soundtrack and over all progression and story more) felt more like a racer and less like a platformer.
Though the next gen sonics (unleashed+) all feel like racing games, like the movement feels stiff. <...
