@johndoe, No need in justifying something that will be embraced as the gaming industry continue to change. What's interesting is arguing of something that a most are participating in... Those ps plus /xb live accounts are growing, and growing be it monthly charge, or annual... What I am really waiting on is those surveys showing the % of growth of digital downloads vs disk sales... This gen will be very interesting....
All companies use similar tactics (even the one's we all work for), just because you like a brand or whatever, don't think for one minute that it's not happening. As far as the drm/online policies go. How many of you gamers on here subscribe to, or subcribed to itunes, and other streaming services? How many of you pay to play all those games, and use all those features on your cell phones?? Please tell me that most are not using cable, or satellite services... And I take it, that...
Xb1, great console, ps4, great console... By now most should realize the policies of xb1 reveal is not an issue. Those who own xb live gold, and ps plus (along with only doing digital down loads)are already participating in the drm/always online/no used games arena. For every digital download purchase, we are doing away with used games, when psnow takes off, we will be doing away with disk games. If you all don't think that both sony, and microsoft aren't going to evolve the way we g...
Yes, yes graphics matter, but not nearly as much as fresh and engaging content for me. From my standpoint, Dev are easily able to improve the gaming landscapes, but face a huge challenge when looking to creating a great new game (that's what I really look for). Games like minecraft, as well as indie games are a great example of how gameplay is still the master key... Hell, I still fire up my neogeo to play some killer shooters, and of course my samurai, and last blade series....
Man, the way things is going in prep for E3, it looks like even the fan boys of each camp will have a very tough time trying to create negative feed back... I am truly excited to own all 3 consoles....
Haha! I think we have a good understanding....
Very cool indeed... Right now, I am really liking the snap skype feature the most. When I am gaming with my son, it's really cool to be able to see him. I will say this, great functionality, with great gaming is merging quiet nicely...
Great console for me....
They will compete just fine over this gen (there is a long way to go). I don't know who will win in total sales, but looking at what both are doing, and planning, I say that it is going to be another great generation for all of us. As both continue to correct system/feature issues, and we are left with the scores of the future games (especially exclusives), that is where the competition is really going to take place.
The combination of the two can be awesome...
Wish it wasn't like this... USA welcomes other brands. Breaking down barriers is a tough, tough task (I'm sure most know here). Although I would love for MS to break through, it just may not be changeable... I definitely can appreciate the effort.
All this is fine with me. I think that we have come to the point where the end of last gen, is almost matching the beginning of next gen. The 360, and ps3 are monsters (that still wasn't maxed out), but their games look so good, with great game play that devs are trying as hard as they can to show immense leaps of tech out the gate (without the true know how of current tech), It's just too early... I can only speak for myself, but I am just fine with devs locking in the mechanics of th...
Did the journalist for this article see the line up of games (current/future), let alone the feature expansion plans for both??? At some point the directors of this N4G should focus on removing the image of fight promoters, and institute a culture of a great gaming community. Clearly they understand that their media center has strong influence on the negative side of gaming opinions, this is why 99% of the articles supplied are ether... They must like seeing gamers insult each others choice...
Its not so much the ps4, as it is the ps plus service charge. Its ok to say that (I have mine). Its a heavy cost with supplying a good infrastructure. Ps+ is going to get it there. There is no difference here.
I recommend with kinect myself . Articles like this reminds me of gamers who state that they haven't even hooked up there kinect because they have no interest in trying it out. Now all of a sudden this journalist tried it out and find out its great to use . Where was this article prior to offering a stand alone version? I do like how he is trying to save face by saying its worse without it instead of saying its a great combination. Interesting...
These are some great deals going on...
Well said.... There are some incredible games lined up to come out for both xb1, and ps4. I am one who prefer not to miss out on amazing exclusives no matter the console maker... Politics is not my passion, gaming is.
Haha! Kudos to you....
Agreed, DRM/digital is going to come no matter what. Always on line, demise of used games, pre-loads, subscriptions, all that is still taking place right in front of all gamers... If all would drop the flags, they would realize that all gaming companies will be doing the same thing....
Didn't MS show the new Tomb Raider trailer?
