@gamejediben
Let's try this another way involving the 90's gaming scene (when I was growing up);
The arguments we had was based on factors which helped evolve gaming, and actually was based on games we found fun instead of "what we heard/read:" Mario and Sonic, however it was more based on what game was fun, and who was more innovative (at the end of the day it was a tie); Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2 (which Street Fighter barely won ...
Here's the #1 thing this gen I hate that was developed; Massive Fanboyism. Back in the SNES/Genesis days the level of stupidity over gaming was no where near of this magnitude; now unless you swear alliance to one side or the other your labeled, ignored, and sometimes laughed off as a gamer in general. Real gamers don't "pick sides" they pick games, with 0 alliance to any one company.
My #2 piss of that was also formed; patches and DLC. I understand there...
@wb
I can name non fps/tps games on PS3 that could still be GotY material; and years later still be enjoyed by the fans. I guarantee you can't say the same for Xbox, which is a big reason why I sold the system both times I owned one; no variety in games outside Indies and the occasional RPG.
It's N4G, most of the people here read headlines, maybe the first couple of paragraphs, and comments instead of actually spending 5 minutes to read the article; they'd rather spend 30+ min to read comments and base their opinions off someone elses wording.
OT
"The problem is that the hardcore folks always want the same thing: 'We want exactly what you gave us before, but it has to be completely different.' (in the article)
That's the biggest factor in the whole used sale argument - bad devs are the ones who favor online passes, hates used games, etc however good devs find ways around it.
I agree with the author; when I was on FF11 there was this word called "teamwork" and if you didn't play as a team, nothing was accomplished (Especially with Dynamis runs with 40+ people and you HAVE to pay attention). Now it's 90% run/gun with the occasional friendly fire (Which is irritating), and more trash-talking than actual communication to win a match. Don't even get me started on players who live on the forums more than playing the game(s); especially those who...
Outside glitches and obvious issues:
Skyrim for story and continuation post story
Fallout New Vegas for gameplay, character development, and weapon creation
Both for being fun games, and spending over 200+ hours per game, with intent on playing again someday (again outside the game-breaking glitches).
"Before you form an opinion on the game, you need to ensure you’ve played enough of it to see all it has to offer." (From the article).
I agree 200% with this statement; so many judge based on YouTube videos, and second-hand information instead of actually playing/testing the game first. It gets old when someone "copycats" their dislikes from what was written online/magazine then later argue it was "before updates/patches."

I'd vote King K Rools theme from Donkey Kong Country 2 over Bramble Scramble. ABout 90% of the music from Chrono Trigger would help as well.
Dragons Crown, can't wait.
#6 Reloading after firing 1 shot
When I quit; Fallout New Vegas
And in 2 weeks we will here "DLC delayed again for unknown reasons" which will piss me and the fans off.
No
All jokes aside unless they mean "we have less glitches and memory issues" which then SE gets first place; other than that this looks like something die hards would play just to finish the story line, while others like me moved on to other games (currently Dragons Crown).
Ok thanks Dark, I'll buy it when I have spare $; I'm a big fan of Metal Gear back from the NES days.
How do I get a disagree on asking a question?
I've seen digital copies of games almost double what you can get at the store new; or overpriced to ask yourself "what moron would spend $40 on a game I can get at the store for half?" I understand a lot of gamers have been buying off Steam due to the sales, and I'm for that; I'm not for overpriced digital games.
I have a question about the Legacy version; the original PS1 version MGS, is it the actual PS1 version, or is it Twin Snakes, also my friend wanted to know if MGS1 has trophy support (he's a big trophy hunter and refuses to buy games that doesn't have trophy support)?
Personally I prefer physical unless the game is too small to fit on disc; or if I'm a major fan of a series and I know the digital version will not disappoint.
That's how I see it; sometimes you get the lucky ones, other times you have off moments. I know this - with the $ at stake I'd go 100% as much as I could; and if needed have some Red Bull.
It's hard to actually determine under performing from someone who's fatigued/tired; especially the ones who play all day, then play another off game (what some called 'casuals') then go back to continue playing in the tournament.
I don't mind the rule either way, however they would need someone who can actually tell the difference, and if needed delay a match (within a reasonable time) so both can play 100%; otherwise a lot of legit players are going to be...
I can still go into the GameStop here to purchase a NEW copy for $60; for those who will pay the $90 for a "used" game either don't know how to shop around (being limited on where to look/shop is one thing, not referring to those types of customers), or are that stupid and deserve to get ripped off.
