Considering PS3 is going on its 3rd.
But yet all PS3 fans are qualified to call most multiplatform devs "lazy" because the games < 360 version?
What I'm saying is that if you already know and have the tools that tell you total cpu utilization, then you already know how much more you have to work with. They said that they are utilizing about 30%, which means they are either talking out of their ass (guessing on the potential of what they think the PS3 is capable of) or they have a tool from Sony.
I'm not knocking the game. It looks good to me and waiting to try it on my PS3.
So if you're only planning on using 50% of total power, then are you a lazy dev? If you already have the tools to measure total utilization, then should the dev either add more things to ensure that he's using the most out of the console?
I mean I understand if later on the cycle of the console, devs are able to learn more about the in and outs on how the hardware works, thus able to achieve more, but if you already know how much percentage your tapping, which is < 100%, sho...
I wonder how this looks to the casual gamer who doesn't follow all the fanboy crap. I mean a $100 price drop less than one year after launch. Hell I wish I would have bought mine now instead of at launch and saved $100. Not being a fanboy, but I've had a 360 since launch and the PS3 has not offered anything new and hardly gets touched.
This looks great.
Its not just EA. Its also 2k Sports. So I guess you can call them lazy too.
I remember when PS3 fans made a big deal because Virtua Tennis was gonna be 60fps... and now its who cares it only football at 60fps.
I own one too and its collecting dust since launch also. Have RFOM and Motorstorm which the kids don't touch.
"but won't mind another one if the price is right. I'll give you 300 $'s for this one"... if it only cost that much then Sony wouldn't have such a problem selling it and that's what it should have cost in the beginning.
Yeah same here, except my sons have completely forgotten about the PSP :) Now have to read reviews on multiplatform games to see which ones to get for what console.
Quick question.. everyone keeps saying wait for E3 for the PS3. Once the games are announced at E3, how much longer to I have to wait until those games are actually released? And yes I have both a 360 and a Ps3.. oh and a Wii.
Not sure what you're talking about, but PS3 only sold a couple of hundred more than usual (usually in the 8500+ range), but 360 sold about twice as much.
Unlike you I bought mine when it first came out and really hasn't been turned on much. My kids don't really care for the blu-ray and media center functions... we bought it for games and it definately hasn't delivered. The problem is that if you have a 360 and a Wii, which we do, the PS3 doesn't really show anything special and there's no games for it.
So Sony... BRING IT ON... I'm waiting for games.
I was thinking the same thing :)
That would be 2 million PS3s, that Sony sells at a loss, with no way to recover from game sales.
So Motorstorm and RFOM must suck also.
Last time I checked, PS3 fans said Motorstorm and RFOM were AAA and they averaged high 8s I believe.
Last time I checked, PS fans hated Ubi and compared them to EA. You guys are a very emotional bunch :)
I think its the other way around right now where everything on the 360 is standard (chatting, online, ...). That's why you read about how PS3 developers are implementing their own workaround for online functions.
I'm sorry, but do you have any idea what you're talking about? Every game will use some sort of engine (licensed or their own) so I'm not sure what you mean.
