remember guys. a overfilled stock harddrive can and often will cause framedrops in openworld games as they stream a lot of textures. Solution: keep hd under half full or better yet, upgrade to a better an bigger harddrive.
What I want is a Gran Turismo game with those graphics and weather effects, as well as the incredible sense of speed and of course Playstation VR support. Now that would be a racer for me. Maybe Gran Turismo Sport will deliver. We can only hope...
Great looking arcade racer, but herein lies the problem. I love realistic driving games like the Gran Turismo series. So Driveclub was a little to arcadie for me. Mind you, I play with the Trustmaster T300RS. That said, Driveclub is probably the best arcade racer out there, and it's weather effects are second to none. Maybe I will like it more in VR...
Regarding your comments about Destiny, I must say this. Maybe you should check out taken king before you trash talk Destiny. It is a lot better now then what it was at launch one year ago.
I've been hoping they would make this game ever since the Kara tech demo arrived in 2012. The concept is just too good not to make a game out of. Could also become a brilliant motion picture if hollywood ever makes it. And if 27 million youtube plays of the Kara tech demo is anything to go by, I think there is a market for such a movie. But let's not get a head of ourselves here. Game first, and for me at least, day one for sure.
Not Sata2 bottleneck, but USB3.0 bottleneck as the Sata2 is converted to USB3.0
The Tegra X1 maybe 512GFLOPS, but the PS3 is only 330.8GFLOPS, when you combine the Cell and RSX in the PS3. So the Tegra X1 is already more powerful than the PS3, but still has a long way to go before it matches the PS4 at about 1,94 Tflops of total power.

How about matching brightness ingame before comparing... just a suggestion...
ROFLMAO!
The cutscenes framedrops could be due to the speed of the default harddrive. Anyway it's not that noticable ingame during those cutscenes IMHO.
Come on DICE, be honest. You don't include single player because you don't have time, due to the single fact that you had to spend over a year after release to fix Battlefield 4.
XII who knows, I know VII is a remake.
$149 for a Nintendo NX and still be the most powerful console of this generation means to me only one thing...streaming.
This would then likely be a gaikai like service and local hardware specs would not matter, only the speed of your internet connection. This would IMHO be a huge mistake for Nintendo.
A better choice would be to make a proper console with an APU that is at least a little bit more powerful than the PS4 and if needbe opt to drop the discdrive ...
I'm worried that the game will suffer because of this debacle.
Seems like Nintendo is copying the market leader Sony with the NX. Besides after Sony abandoned IBM Cell, IBM probably turned the price up higher than what was acceptable to Nintendo. Another reason could be get back the interest of the third party devs by having a machine which will be easy to make games for. Also I think that the NX will be either as powerful or a littlebit more powerful than the PS4; proberly the latter.
Strange, I live in Norway and apart from somewhat slow download speeds Sony is now looking into, and normal server update downtime, I haven't noticed much problems with PSN.
No, I read it. I simply disagree. Consoles will not suffer with it's low level API's, but consoles will not get any significant benefit in the API department either, simply because consoles like the ps4 have the same architecture, and very few bottlenecks, and it does not have to run windows and a shit ton of apps in the background.
When I read suffer in this setting, I read that as affecting sales of console games and consoles themselves, and that's why I disagr...
My point being that it is IMHO irrelevant how much more power a pc gets due to revolutionary new API's. Consoles will not be significantly affected in sales due to said reasons above.
It is however very likely that PC's will get a far greater boost from API improvements alone. Although optimising code for consoles has been a thing on consoles 4ever, and optimization on consoles is far easier on say PS4, simply because all PS4's have the same architecture. I agree ...
High end PC rigs have most powerful hardware... check...
still games sells far more on consoles... how can this be?
Can it actually be that people care more about gameplay and ease of use rather than super realisic graphics... wow...who would have thought...
Consoles are cheaper, takes up less space in your home (unless laptop), no fuss with graphics settings, far less broken games on consoles, more relaxing to play in front of the telly compared to being stuc...
He forgot to mention Ace Combat 7, which will also support Playstation VR.
