I see no reason as to how he can't have his signature cards as "holographic" attacks like Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Kuriboh and of course Exodia. I think it would be a very cool addition tk the roster.

Which is exactly why its not good. 4 moves means you have to think critically about what move you give each Pokemon in your party. Even then they technically have moved past the 4 move limitation with Z moves which has been welcomed as adding a new layer to competitive play and even brought Pokemon like Dugtrio into the Uber tier.

I'm going to be honest... GOOD. People tend to think the Pokemon combat system comes down to 4 moves and that's the end of it. In reality, making a Pokemon viable for competitive play is a very long process.
I would much rather a spinoff series with an overhauled combat system (which tbh is what Pokemon Let's GO should have had) than completely changing the cor...

I dunno if I'd call it niche. It was pretty much the most anticipated game of the year of its release and was a major let down. Maybe its gotten better, but for many of us waiting for that was not worth the initial let down.
