I think it's possible. Basically, you can play outside the house but the joy-cons cant be attached to the console. As long as you have the room to move the Joy-cons for the motion control I'd say its possible yes (Might be difficult if you want to play in a car though lol).
It was obviously a load of crap when people said consoles would die but i think its worth remembering that many were just expecting the form of the consoles to change and become a tablet that hooks up to your TV. In a sense the Switch is close to that and an example of how a market can evolve.

Not entirely. Its pretty much saying you can't have the joycons docked with the system while playing by the looks of it. So its play in TV or table top mode.

Not even including the Wii U sales. Incredibly good performance for a game that was projected to be the worst selling in the series by a certain publication.
Platinum worded it though as if they had a choice between Nintendo and someone else but they felt Nintendo was the right publisher for them. Of course it worked out because Bayo2 was phenomenal but I don't know if Nintendo was a last resort for them like many say. Its likely the only company that would allow Bayo2 to become what we know it as was actually Nintendo.

To be honest I'd rather a service that could give us VC as a rental service (GamePass style) compared to buying them on a system and then not having that purchase carry over to another console.

Maybe we should all wait for Benchmark videos before we declare anything about these cards. I usually turn a few things down in the settings anyway (shadows, lighting, AA and effects) so for me, it'd likely be 4k 60fps.

I think the point they're trying to make is that there is no need to purchase a service or an all-new system (like a mini) to be able to gain access to those games like Sony and Nintendo are currently doing. Even if you want to say their tweet is misleading BC is actually the one thing MS has been consistently good at this gen and outdone their competitors at in almost every way.
If only they could be good at some of the more important are...
If they want to do a GamePass style subscription service for NES, SNES, N64, GameCube and Wii games I'm all for giving it a shot. I'd actually be really excited about a service like that and it might actually be the smartest way for Nintendo to bring VC to the Switch. But there's no reason to lock online multiplayer behind it.
I'm also wondering whats going to happen when a mainline Pokemon releases. Are we going to have to pay for this for online AND subscr...
Probably has more to do with it being a separate service from the 3DS.
