"gamer girls"
more like just regular girls; attention seekers.
I feel like she has been complaining about no longer working at ND forever.
Would be cool if they released VR games on PSnow, and people could use that to stream the games onto their Morpheus. Because to use PSnow, you technically don't need a ps4, or even a PS platform.
A genuine concern, but it's not like any other game. To compare it to potential gameplay based on games we've already played is unfair.
As the author writes, perhaps a new style of gameplay will be born on the eve of this game's release, and people will use it as a therapeutic / meditative session--not a serotonin-filled adrenaline rush. Haven't you ever just wanted to "explore"?
Perhaps this game will offer that, and change the land...
Let's count the ways this article made subjective biased comments:
"The biggest news came from Microsoft as they decided to prove a point in the gaming industry." "...it sent shockwaves all over the gaming stratosphere."
No. Backwards compatibility didn't. The excitement didn't even last til the end of the presser.
"The PS4 didn’t have the best exclusives in its first year with quite a shallow launch lineup." ...
I played SOTC. NO IDEA WHERE IT CAME FROM. But I played it without being instigated to do so by online folks, and I really really liked it. Problem was, everybody played those games after the fact, if at all. Those who did play one or both have rave reviews, and that's why people give a crap about this studio's next project.
The Last Guardian will be a critical and financial success because the legacy this company built will force it into that position.
White consoles look so sexy. Pretty much any recent console that isn't black or gamecube-purple looks sexy.
No discount. Releasing in the spring because SE is about that paper, and games do the bulk of their selling within 3 weeks.
Perhaps the release date for other platforms is unknown because their deal is to keep it exclusive while its sales are strong?
Somebody's been working on their titling skills.
Does he know that according to the internet he's being ripped off?
I actually love them for this.
"Sony rented out a stadium, flew its bigwigs to LA and fed hundreds of people in the gaming industry so that it could ask for money. An E3 press conference is not the appropriate time to ask for funds, especially the way Sony did."
Right because they only went there to show a kickstarter; Come off it. Not everything has to be done the same way. You're insane if you think raising over 3.6 million dollars and getting the game cheaply into the hands of most of thos...
I'm sure they'd rather focus on cutting edge rendering techniques, considering nobody even has a 4k tv.
Don't you dare start with this nonsense. freakin contrarians. Unreal.
Now that somebody knows it's a world record, they're going to beat it with some crappy picture, based on quantity over quality.
well disney is behind it, and they kinda churn things out like crazy. Hopefully they can influence the development pipeline hell that is a nomura vision.
Besides, although the visuals are great, they are simplified in their details and animation, so I assume things are faster to make. That star gun Sora is holding certainly doesn't look as detailed as a sword from FF15's demo.
Again, that's pessimism. Optimism would be, "The game will come out soon!" Realism would be, "The game will eventually come out." Your consideration is pessimism. And it's ok to be a pessimist, but just own up to it, and understand what kind've world you create for yourself and those around you; a constant worst case scenario sputtering through your fingertips.
Ahh, the taste of a yearly release? No thanks.
Like i said. The lot of the funding for this game is basically buying the title when it comes out at half price. How that is suckering money out of the public that would've otherwise paid double ($60) for the full retail price is beyond me.
Support it or don't. But for gods sake, practice shutting up throughout your pessimistic processes.
none of that nonsense makes it genius. stupid article.
