I've had my eye on this for ages. Glad it wasn't canned after all.
Me too. We still play L4D2 till this day.
Pretty much. Good development has to come from passion. I'd like HL3 but not if it's a chore for them to do. Valve don't release much at all but what they do release is quality over quantity (except for their store front lol).
I'm so pumped for this game. This will be the first real traditional Forza I'll play on PC. Fingers crossed they add in the downhills too.
Why would you buy and old heap like that for gaming? It probably cost so much because it's old and has more market value for people looking for second hand parts than it's actually functionality.
Loving the 1080ti with a 1440p 165hz panel.
Yep. The elephant in the room..."where's the friggin multiplayer?"
Have fun cleaning up
You mean Reaident Evil + a whole lot of demo games. There's way more VR content on PC.
GPU usually is the most important factor but if your bottlenecked by the CPU you'll lose your gains. Either that or they'll dumb down AI and make linear games with less CPU requirements - pretty much this gen summed up.
Spoken like someone who's never experienced high fps gaming on a 144hz monitor. There's a reason people seldom move back to console after building a PC.
But thanks .. If we want a pretty linear pre-baked games with quick time events and overdone motion blur to hide the dismal FPS we know where to go
The looped rain effects are nice but it takes more than a few prebaked weather effects and transitions to have a meaningful affect on racing that's on offer with the unpredictability of dynamic weather.
1440p @165 fps Gsync monitor with a 1080ti is where it's at for me. Plus having all of my games from previous gens installed and ready to play at those settings anytime, free online, most X1 exclusives now too. Nvidia shadowplay and cheap games. Then also being able to use my old console discs through emulating and still run them.
vs.
a few overrated and mostly boring AAA exclusives running at 30fps. No BC or FC. Paying for online play. Walled garden...
I was suprised too. I went from 80fps to 110fps @1440p. What a beautiful update.
That would be nice. I wish Battlefield would go back to doing that.
I'm with you on that. Shame there's no objectivity on this site anymore. Just Sony fanboys. Ultimately it comes back to bite the consumer since fanboys are too shortsighted to call a scam a scam. You bet PS5 we're going to see fanboys lining up to buy their PS4 library again.
I mostly agree. I'd much prefer 1080p 60fps than 4K 30fps. The part I disagree with is that 4K is here to stay despite it being the new sexy buzzword. It has a better ring to it than 60fps.
Don't feel bad. To be honest I'd rather an 1080p OLED than a 4K TV with crappy color. But 4K OLED is another story :)
That's a massive exaggeration. It runs quite well since the update a few weeks ago. I'd say hit detection needs work and general movement / actions could use some polish for sure. Other than that its ready for prime time.
All games mate. Screw your low standards.
