It was a reverse auction. AMD were prepared to provide chips for less. Which is also why Nintendo have an old architecture GPU (maxwell based). Pascal was too expensive. Additionally AMD do x86 which sweetened the deal.
Nvidia were crowed the smartest world company 2017 and are #387 on the Fortune 500. They screwed nothing up, they know what they're doing

Yep... just after PC . They get iRacing and the others to boot.

But good on Xbox bringing extra power to the table.

It's a better game though. GT has sucked ever since the 3rd installment.

Other way around. It will bottle next the top end frame rates beyond 80fps. That's how they find CPU bottlenecks.. they reduce the resolution to 1080p so they can see how the CPU holds back the GPU on delivering frames.

Double the effectiveness? Not this gen.
That Carmack quote your touting to make you feel better is about 5 years old now - pre Vulkan, Pre DX12. A lot has changed
We've seen loads of cross platforms run the same on similar PC hardware already.
Now is a console better value for money than building a PC with similar parts? It sure is , that is if you don't factor paying for online over its lifetime.
However some people like gaming at 60+ fps, especia...

Even then it's not 4k. It's that fake checkerboards junk.

By far the most ungraceful death of any flop.

A 7700k @5ghz vs a 2600k @ 5ghz will net users around a 35%- 40% increase in framerates when paired with a high end card. New gen CPUs have higher instructions per cycle. It doesn't mean people need to jump on every CPU generation but it makes a compelling upgrade at a certain point.

It's good AMD have their high end out. I like that AMD also use freesync which should one day soon work with some TVs - that's massive. Although I've got a 1080ti I'm not fanboy enough to see we need AMD around for competition.
Shame that this article uses a cherry picked benchmark though. It looks like they've got something to hide...

The hell you talking about. It's far more tactical than you think. But I love pawning people like you who come on dick swinging like it's a shooter.

Spoke like a true console fanboy.

1. Choice of Fps or Visuals is a bad thing?
2. Low ping time is an advantage too? Is that cheating too?
3. Umm Steam chat and game invites
4. That's your opinion. I couldn't care less, Screw 30 fps gaming for a joke.

Hardly anything special. What's with the tiny underdeveloped buildings in the center. There's thousands of user cities more impressive than this one. Must be a a slow news week.

15 is still too much. PC gaming monitors do 1-4 ms.

Its not ligit 240hz, that's the laggy fake interpolation junk. Stop lying to yourself.
