Well, to each, their own. I believe that depth and freedom makes for better games, in which a gamer would have fun just by messing around with its system and getting to know the options it provides to spend time in the world the game creates. XIII was so restrictive that even though you wouldn't get a break from the fights, it wouldn't allow you to level up as you felt pleased! That felt stupidly pointless. Fighting for the sake of fighting in a game where the combat system would play...
No, it wasn't. XII was a much deeper game, with much more content, better level system, better characters and tremendously better voice acting. It was really fun to explore that world, to find out new areas, to rely on clues and weather to find the mosters you was hunting. Anyway, XII was much better game (which I wish to see in hd sometime in the future). The only thing XIII did better was its graphics and soundtrack...
I wish my girlfriend would even want one! lol
I wont pretend that this comment doesn't upset me - it certainly does - but I wont say it's a deal breaker either. The game looks pretty great to me, and the 4 player coop campaign yells day-one!
Although, to add to the things I'm not impressed about it, there's that invisibility device. Personally, I hate it. It makes me miss the good old days of moving slowly in the jungles and changing the view, every three minutes or so, to first person to look for enimi...
Hope it happens, as I'm dying to play ANY witcher game on my ps3, but after getting my hopes up for Witcher 2 getting ported only to be disappointed, I wont make the same mistake again...
@rezzah
Dude. Sarcasm?
They should turn it into the box art for the game! x)
I, respectfully, disagree: it wasn't just a bad FF game, it was a really bad game made especially bad due to high expectations.
OH MY GOD! Why in the hell haven't you been hired yet?! Why??!
Just an idea...
They should give a nice long look at rayman origins and do something somewhat similar for Megaman, bringing it back to relevance. That would be pretty sick if you ask me.
Yes, that is enraging poor professionalism, right there! A LOT o people buy their games trusting in a reviewer's opinion, so there should be NO room for ambiguity! If the game have such terrible issues to get comments like "technically it's like they're living in an bubble", it should be reflected on it's final score and talked about extensively on it's review.
Good news. The demo got me thirsty for more, it felt like fable, only richer! The combat, the loot, the story, the environments... everything was pretty damn cool, but those bugs got me worried. So, happy to learn they will be fixed before release.
And for everyone saying "Duh... that's what they'd say!", well, that's what reviews are for. You may wait to read some reviews before buying and find out if devs where lying or not. I trust they are not.
Yes, this is a pure selfish statement here, but I hate to my very core when I see chapters from my favorite franchises going the handhelds-only road. Nothing really wrong with that, it's just that I'm a console gamer and I've never had a handheld in my life.
@ThirstyforFanta
I agree. People complain about he's new design, but I really don't think it looks wrost. Now he looks like a commando. Before, he looked like a anime teenager. I'm not really saying one look is better than the other, just saying (imo) it fits the character better. Altough I got to admit they really went crazy on the steroids.
@scofios
If you meant the pic that D3monS0uls posted, it wasn't Chris on his free time, i...
"its looking alot better than re5"
Yes, and that says a LOT about it, for RE5 was so good! s/
Soon there will be granades and proximity bombs. :/
Never played a single Syphon Filter game before. I guess it's a action oriented mgs? No matter what, if this is proven true, it's very good news indeed!
I'd HAPPILY spend 300 hours in that game! :)
The funny thing is that "Dead Space style" is what RE style used to be. And now, for inspiration, RE should look at DS - which was inspired by RE.
It's the old cicle of originality, huh? Nothing is created, everything is copied. lol
Ah, onimusha... how I miss you...
