I was hopping for a rpg too. Zero interest in a fighting game... :/
She never actually played it, just watched me doing so and loved what she was seeing. She was excited, but she doesn't like to play alone, and since there's no split screen or co-op in the beta, she didn't felt like playing.
She's not a skilled player by a long shot, but she does like to play games when she has guidance or something like a role assigned to her. For instance, she's a terrible shooter and have lousy reflex, but she does like to play as a med...
Please, please, pretty please be true!
OMFG, yes!! Split-screen! Great news, I'll be playing this with my girl - she really liked the build-your-base gameplay, and we were hoping to find something good to play together! Now, if only there was also a co-op mode... oh wait, there IS! :)
Since I never played it, I really would like to see a reboot/remake.
Could be better, but it's not all bad...
Can't spell ignorant without... wait! That's not IGN!?
Impressive how much this is happen this gen!
It's a good action game, just not a good Resident Evil.
But it is a good jrpg, just not a good Final Fantasy.
It is a good online shooter, but not a good socom.
Time for developers focus on new IP's, if only to preserve the good old ones...
It is not a stealth game, but it does have stealth sections. All I'm saying is I wish those sections could improve - it doesn't need to be under the stealth genre to have good stealth mechanics.
@RememberThe357
Every once in a while my girlfriend ask me the same thing - to watch me playing something. I can see how that might be weird for you, but in my experience, should you chose the right game, it could be amusing. For instance, I play games with puzzles in it, so I can involve her by helping me solve the puzzles. Or plot-heavy games, in hope to get her interested by the (duh) plot. Coop downloadable games can prove entertaining for a couple as well (especially if ...
I hope they can improve the stealth. Some (good) stealthy gameplay at a night forest would be awesome.
I hope this atrocity gets the low sales it deserves, so Crapcom may learn not to mess up with Resident Evil's name.
Maybe it shouldn't be scary, but armed and well trained or not, you are still in the middle of a nightmarish town crowded by monsters and undead creatures, with death and destruction everywhere you go. One would think this should be at the very least, creepy, don't you think so? If they want to use the Resident Evil name, they should at least respect it's atmosphere. Doesn't need to be scary, but it should be moody. Gee, just take a look at dead space: a LOT of people said it ...
" If this were Mass Effect you'd either have to make the choice of being a Paragon and turning in the hackers to Capcom (if or when you encounter them) or as a Renegade and allow the hackers to continue to spread the word to unsuspecting consumers about the disc-locked content."
That's one way to see it. I think it would be the other way around: paragons wouldn't be supporting a scam - which is what crapcom is doing right now.
I would have Soul Reaver, MDK, OddWorld, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia, Vagrant Story and Phantasy Star Online in my list (reboot, sequel w/e).
@dredgewalker
He is, right! One of the things that I've loved about that game that they took away from 4 was the coodec talks. Don't get it why they did that, those conversations were aways amusing, and offered a better look at the characters personalities. Para-medic and Major Zero's conversations about movies were completely awesome.
And that retro spy-movie inspired track... man, that was an amazing song. I don't remember having ever heard ...
haha That's awesome! Rub it in their faces alright! lol
Yeah, me too! I want to have it on disc, not download it.
Agree. If you loved MGS4, your brain will melt with Snake Eater. MELT, I tell you! Imo, it's a much better game than 4 - with a plot much more involving and a conclusion so dramaticaly powerfull that you'll need to go find the Wizard of Oz if it doesn't bring a tear to you eye, for you have no heart... seriously. You need -- nay, owe -- to play it and experience it for yourself.
I sadly agree. Smart armed zombies and cover system alone just killed the hype for me. I'm still curious about it, but that's it for now. Just curiosity feed by wishful thinking.
On topic: Seriously? Another ORC?! Even after the big warm welcome the first one is getting?! WTH is wrong with this people? Will they ever learn to listen to their fanbase?!?
