Bubbles for you sir!
I would think they need to make it free at least for osme time to get people hooked and then start charging people for uniforms and hats, etc.
Cant assume its free. Something tells me we will pay top dollar to make our avatars look like us.
yeah i can see them charging MS points for a sombrero.
Mii's are free?
My guess would be like 100 MS points for an outfit or maybe a set of outfits. Wuld be cool if you get special shirts for buying certain games, like a Gear t-shirt when u get Gears 2.
Perhaps EA could merge with Sega or Atari and try a run or even botha nd take their console knowledge and make a system and market the software as well.
Somehting tells me that there will be no refunds for all those useless gamerpics people bought.
Curious if Nintendo will go after MS for Mii likeness?
The thing is that EA has a ton of titles and with time will have the alrgest lineup of third party titles. If they were to flipa switcha nd make a console and turn htose all inoto exclusives there would be a giant gap in video games for the other consoles.
If an MMo wanted to charge monthly they should give you the game for free. I know most of them give a month trial to play online but that is nothing after you already paid $50 for hte game and then if you like it have to shell out another $15 a month. The sad part is once you add up all the money you spent you realise that there is nothing left for you to do and just stop playing the game.
Exactly, with all the issues that this current gen has had, brekaing down, sourcing and lack of games. EA could use these factors to their advantage and turn their third party games into their own and have a huge lineup off the bat. This would also definitely hurt the other consoles and strengthen thier position.
NFL could be upset if they locked it into one console but htenagain they had no problem selling their license to one game manufacturer. Either way the NFL would get paid.
Agreeed, but EA could recoup money on the games that they would now have locked in. I think a lot of people would buy a console to paly Madden especially, since there couldnt be another football game on any other console, unless it used fantasy players, etc.
They do make a large amount of money form their sports lineup but they could make even more money by having titles catered to their own console. I know people say they wouldnt buy a console for GTA but I think alot of people bought a PS2 just for this game, if EA locks down Take Two and makes GTa and other titles exclusives htey could position themselves nicely.
It could be an aweosme publicity stunt as well, the game developer that ook matters into their own hands.
<...
I know a lot of gamers have hard feelings against EA but I htink a new ocnsole could be very interesting. EA could corenr the market with sports titles and shut it down to others or make them throw money hats at them to get games like Madden. If they do get GTA then they could amke that exclusive as well. EA could make some serious cash. Gamers wold come around after a while and buy the console IMO.
An EA console could make a splash in the industry but would gamers back it or shun it?
Looks like Nintendo will be getting a storage device of some kind after all.
