I can tell you that a very small fraction actually read the articles, instead people read the summary or just look at the picture which really discredits a lot of things.
If people took the time and rage to read on past the initial title the conversations could be much more productive.
The Gamestop promo for trade ins really has grabbed them a lot of attention and trade ins. Many gamers are taking advantage and stocking up on all the new releases.
I liked the original Star Ocean game with the multiple endings but never really got interested in these.
I think the time line may be a year or so shorter just because the technology for 3D has really been pushed this year. Fuji has a 3D camera for under $500 and it is very good. 3D is becoming less of a gimmick and more main stream now, because of movies like Avatar. I would think that maybe in 2 to 3 years we will see much more 3D media and definitely in the next generation of consoles.
With the recent firing it will be interesting to see where the franchise heads

Risen sounded good but after hearing that there are confusing quests really makes me not interested. Nohting upsets me more than wasting time on quests and trying to figure out where to go.
MW2 is falling into traps that many shooters do. They have cheating issues and players are becoming too familiar wiht the current maps so IW needs to do something to change things up before people completely become uniterested.
It is a shame that now a days no game is 100% perfect. QA is to blame IMO.

There are a few classic RTS titles taht were good but Starcraft just perfected everything and ten added in their Battlenet as the icing on the cake.
Skate 3 looks lieka lot of fun and has some innovative ideas in it like being able to skate with your friends list even if they arent online.
