Mortal Kombat is probably the best video game adaptation ever made. All the characters are faithful to their source material and it was about a tournament for deciding the fate of earth realm(like the first game). That's all you need to be a good video game movie...you don't need it to be Oscar winn...

I mean I love the 4k on my Xbox one X but I also love going back to my OG ps4 and playing games like the Yakuza series and Nier automata(both probably only hit 900p) for their well written and quirky stories that hook me from the beginning.
I would also add the Yakuza franchise to your great list of single player games as well... I've spent hundreds of hours on those games in the past year(when I was finally introduced to the series last year with 0). I agree that not every single player game has to be very long... The Uncharted series and earlier Metal Gear titles were not 100 hour games but they had compelling stories that had a beginning middle and end. As a 34 year old and the target age this goober is talking about... I in NO WAY want shorter single player games. If I have to play a 50 hour game for two hours a night for almost a month... I certainly will. I don't understand what length has to do with anything other than this is going to be some narrative to make shorter games. I still can't believe this next Tomb Raider is costing 135 million bucks... I'm sure it will be good but it won't be long... So where did the money ...

Well that's stupid. I didn't notice this issue because I didn't get God of War(got yakuza 6 instead) and not really interested in Detroit... But hope in the future this works itself out. I only have access to two places to purchase video games where I live.. Amazon or Wal Mart.. And I'd prefer the 20% discount.
