RE4 was the start of the downfall for the series. Most people don't believe this because resident evil 4 was their first Resident evil game. All the games before 4 were far superior to 4 and I hope they keep RE2 faithfully to its source material.
Most people who love RE4 complained and bitched about 5 and 6 which is just hilarious.

I have fragile masculinity because I prefer my games based on real wars to try and be authentic? I could even see having women in the game if this took place on the eastern front. If they want to put this stuff in a war game make a fictional war game.

I agree, I have no idea why Demon's is like the black sheep of the series. I felt it was clearly better than Dark Souls, but of course MOST people missed Demon's so Dark Souls was their first foray into the series and...nostalgia glasses
