it has got something to do with cutting costs because manufacturing old hardware can cost more than making new, the emotion engine has a big chip and big chips make less money than small chips e.g.
a 90nm CPU will cost more for the customer and that because it costs more for the company that is making it. so a 65 or 45nm CPU is cheaper for both
but they should of had a good software compatiblity

crysis looks way better than killzone 2
killzone 2 is just an improvement on fac cry 2 (ps3 version) in terms of graphics and people far cry 2 on ps3 is like playing far cry 2 at the lowest settings on PC. far cry 2 on pc with max settings does not match crysis on medium never mind ultra high, modded configs or even warhead

i would say this is way better than the 4870 X 2 because it has double the memory, double the cores, doubles the bandwidth of the GTX 280 and that was almost the same or just better than 4870 X 2

omg people i built my system for £800-$1600 at the time and i can play with AA X 4, AS X 4 full shaders, 720P res and DX10 at 52 FPS, the ps3 and 360 could not achieve that at medium and with no AA, AS, shaders.

the transfer rate does not increase because the BUS is better it depends on the flash device or the hard drive RPM. sata claims a 3.0Gigabits but only can achieve 20-30MegaBytes on most hardware so its way of its speed.
i dont know what the vista bashing is about because i have had it now for 3 or 4 months and i have never had a problem with it, it runs smoother on the same hardware and have alot for feature with it.
poeple just play about with it, tweak it and u will see it is way better than XP SP3.
