I'm sure Steam was around in 2002
I think 2002 was a mark for the new era in gaming.
or if this is based on SteamPlay
Then 2010 was the mark of the new era in gaming.
And if this is about cross-platform gaming this its been done before with PC/Mac/360
All this analysing and comparing, debating and arguing.
Guys, just take a second and think, please.
PC it only does everything
Looks like its going to be the best Modern Combat FPS in years.
On topic
It could very well be a in site to a future war, hope not.
Its cool
Wish Lucas Arts would release Star Wars: Battlefront III already!!!
Gamers vs journalism
In the end its always opinions, does making you a Journalist more factual, don't think so from what I've see over the years.
Here is the difference
Legend of Zelda best game ever - Total opinion
Uncharted 2 best game ever - Total opinion
Halo 3 best game ever - Total opinion
Half-Life 2 best game ever - Total opinion
Uncharted 2 has over 100 Awards - Fact
Half-Life ...
Multitasking and Tag mode I'm sure is common logic heard of this weeks ago
I'm most impressed with the multitasking feature, really really really cool.
Getting Crysis 2 PC day one
Getting Rage PC day one
Both games are going to look crazy good but I think CryEngine 3 is greater than id Tech 5
CryEngine 3 - Realtime, all the time.
PC it only does everything
CryEngine 3 - Realtime, all the time
Not like 99% of game engines
PC is always better, come on people get real.
PC it only does everything
"a good gaming PC would cost you probably twice the combined value of the modern three consoles"
LOL
Launch Xbox 360 - £279.99
Launch PlayStation 3 - £424.99
Launch Nintendo Wii - £179.99
So the PC would cost £1769.94
Current Xbox 360 - £199.99
Current PlayStation 3 - £249.99
Current Nintendo Wii - £179.99
So the PC would cost £...
PSP2 will most likely not have a Cell B.E in it, way to much power consumption.
Its will be one of the following depending on release: PowerV7 or Nvidia Tegra II maybe III
@ ThanatoDMS
It does not work that way
Steam PC = over 1200 Games
Steam Mac = over 200 Games
You download the games to you local system and play them off that.
The developer releases the game on the platforms they desire, Valve host the content, when the users purchases a game, then clicks download/install it detects PC/Mac and the decides which version to install.
Article fail
They like others still fail to see the facts at the technological side of things.
"DVDs are great, but in this day and age of super-duper HD visuals, clearly, BD’s are going to have the edge - it’s maths and you can’t argue with maths."
Its Lying and you clearly can't argue with idiots.
Explain this:
Crysis achieved on 1 PC DL-DVD
Crysis Warhead (Just SP Disk) on 1 PC DL-DVD
...
Getting PC version, not bothered if I get it free with PS3, if anything you get a free PS3 version as well, it works both ways on PC and Mac.
Any way the PC Steam version (Home Platform) will be £29.99 or coop copy for like £49.99 something like they did with Left 4 Dead maybe, also going to have superior graphics, superior controls, mod support day one and exclusive Razer content
The PS3 Steamworks version (not full Steam) will be £39.99 with ...
Console gamers
"I'd rather have a console and lose my right... any day"
I really want to facepalm really really hard but I could knock myself out.
Sony is just throwing around its weight BIG TIME, hope they fail at this, best for humanity and not just gamers
I have all current gen consoles: PS3, 360, Wii, DSi and PSP but PC owns them all.
You can 100% tailor a PC to anything you would want.
PS3 is only getting Steamworks (not Steam)
Its like a limited Steam overlay. You will not be able to open links like you can on PC, and if you can then Valve really can do anything.
Well if I understand this correctly its going to hurt the legit gamers, it reminds of the DRMs on PC. only 5 lifetime installs LAME.
Its all opinions at the end of the day.
Come on people stop the fanboyism, this guy has done some amazing games, granted he's made some amazing claimed and failed but never the less.

SOCOM 2 was the best but SOCOM 1 & 3 was not bad, the rest have been below par and disappointing.
Sorry but this would be my only reason to get Killzone 3.
Kind of like the get Crackdown for Halo 3 beta.
Valve developed games.
Steam is Valve
