Most likely be Quad Core Cortex15 @ 2GHz with 24 Cuda cores.
Only thing I would swap out would be the HD 5830 and get a GTX 460 :)

CPU scaling in games is not that great so that Athlon will be great for almost every game expect BattleForge, GTA IV and Supreme Commander.

I'm currently downloading this leaked PC beta hoping for DX10 or DX11.
That is why there is no console version foreseeable future.

After playing both Crysis 2 Beta and Killzone 3 Beta I can confirm that Killzone 3 on PS3 looks greater than Crysis 2 on 360.
However we are yet to see Crysis 2 on PS3
Crysis 2 on PC is already 8th Gen ready, even Crysis and Crysis Warhead is 8th Gen ready and still hammers and consoles 1st party games.
Take2 IPs would die under Activision.
There is two new modes coming, Adventure mode and Zombie Hunt mode.

The PS3 is a powerful console but its nothing compared to technology released after 2007.
3 PS3s can do interactive ray-tracing but at something like 5FPS or less.

Its more than just Crysis that destroys console games
Most multiplats look better than the crop of PS3 and 360.

My first rig back in 2007 would still smash PS3 and 360 at multiplats and it cost less than PS3 at launch.
The money I've saved on getting PC games on Steam has allowed me to save up to get an amazing rig if I dare say so.

Well it will be incredible, its a real Battlefield.
It was most likely previewed on a PC
It would of had resolutions great than 1920 by 1080
It would of had anti-aliasing at 8x minimum
It would of been running on DirectX11
Why would they make a joke of themselves and show it running at 1280 by 720 with no anti-aliasing running on 2002 API
PC it only does everything.
Its a fun game, nothing special.
Was it worth £24.99 on Steam, no!!.
Still going to get my moneys worth.
On the Simulation scale (1 = Mario Kart - 10 = iRacing)
2-3 Its extremely arcadey even with Hardcore driving physics, Faster cars seem to handle a bit more realistic but still worst and most racing games.
Great for just cruising, a open world version of Outrun really.
6/10 that's my opinion.
My first PC I did not have a Monitor an OS either.
I got a cheap £5 Mouse and Keyboard combo which did the job.
I used a VGA cable to hook my new PC to my HDTV.
I also used my Laptop XP lisence for my new PC.
