The beauty of modern rendering technology is that we can have Kratos and Nathan Drake in all their glory without needing an actual physical actor to play the roll. Yay for the future.
Like it or not if this was in a book, tv show, or movie then it wouldn't have gotten nearly as much (if any) hate.
I am quite sensitive to resolution and frame rate. So while I never say it like that, I'm always glad when I get to play games at higher resolutions with solid high frame rates.
People who think that next-gen consoles will do 4k gaming don't know anything about technology.
No, they instantly max out the hardware. They just better utilize what the system can do over tme which is why Uncharted 2 look better then 1. Uncharted 1 maxed out the hardware, but they optimized the crap out of their code which is why Uncharted 2 looks better. Maxing out the hardware doesn't mean games can't look better on the system.
That's not how it works at all.
Games that require more processing power from the CPU such as Metro will suffer from the pack of power the Wii U has. Games that don't require a massive amount of CPU power like Boarderlands will be fine.
You can manage heat, you can't bump the processor speed up with an update once the design is finalized. Slower hardware is never good for games. The reason why Microsoft had so many hardware problems is because they didn't properly manage the heat. The PS3 generated more heat then the 360 at launch but Sony understands how to cool a system properly.
Yes on SOOOO many levels.
While you can't directly compare CPUs based on clock speeds due to architectural differences being much more important, clock speed still matters.
You don't see the logic? It's fairly simple, they make more money.
Still holding off until the software lineup has more then two games I want and are exclusive to the platform. With a gaming console games are the only thing that matter.
It could be that because of MGS4 I can't play Japanese games other then what Nintendo puts out (for the most part) but I played FF7 without having played it as a child. It was meh to bad. Nostalgia is a powerful emotion that tends to cloud reality. This is just my opinion and does not mean that you don't enjoy the game/enjoy the game less then you do #N4Gdisclaimers.
He's an incredibly talented game designer. Stop talking out your ass.
Small percentile of people that don't own a PS3? The VAST majority of the population don't own a PS3 dude.
Rage was a great game. The story was terrible and the game was linear pretending to have an open world, but the game was just fun to play. Gameplay was incredibly solid and I love that special id sauce on the shotguns. Anyone who thinks the game was over rated is stupid, it was horribly under rated as a whole. There is a difference between pre launch hype and how a game is perceived once it's launched.
In other news, water is wet and Rolling around in the dirt gets you dirty.
Actually this is very important for gamers. Since the industry is unfortunately pushing cloud gaming a connection like this with no bandwidth cap and only costing $70 a month is HUGE for gamers. Plus it will make online games web better with crazy speed and low ping.
I have a 360, PS3, and a PC. I never said I wasn't getting it, I said it's a shame more people won't play it.
Edit:
Also, it's not like the PS3 is cheap. It's not a possibility for everyone to "just get a PS3."
Rockstar doesn't need the PC any more. It's really a shame because the PC made Rockstar. Oh well, they are with id, Epic, and Crytek now.
