While I agree it's great to show games that people can buy soon I prefer Sony's approach to show me why I want to keep my PS4. I'm feeling like selling my Xbox and buying a gaming PC because Microsoft want to unify their gaming platforms. It makes sense from a business standpoint, but it also makes me not want a console from Microsoft's camp. Doesn't affect them either way, since I will still be supporting them as a whole. I'd do the same thing of Sony suddenly launche...
No, it didn't. The team that made 2, also known as the best one, worked on 4. They didn't start on The Last of Us. They implemented elements from The Last of Us to make the world feel more grounded in reality for sure, but it fit with the game and story. It wasn't forced in with no regard to the universe the game takes place in.
HOLY SHIT! Congratulations to Naughty Dog
How would parting with a whiny, annoying character that no one likes a bad thing?
Teraflop technology? Just do us all a favor and kill yourself.
No, no you should not.
I care more about a stable framerate, but higher resolution isn't a bad thing either.
Either that or they had to speed up to compensate for how long last gen was. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Yes, the game is running at 30hz when Naughty Dog originally had planned on 60. That shows a lack of raw performance that new hardware would help fix.
MY ANUS IS READY
I thought they were wizards from another dimension who came to earth to make dank ass video games or something.
What's wrong with playing and enjoying both?
Yes, yes they should.
No it won't
I would settle for the games looking and running like they did on the 360. Instead you get crushed colors, horrible framerates and horrible frame pacing issues. When playing Stick of Truth I threw up because performance was so awful. That's not even hyperbole, low and inconsistent framerates make me physically sick.
Nathan Drake is a beautiful man
Too bad the games run like crap and look like crap
If all they do is slightly over clock the CPU and RAM they're not going to be hitting 1080p60 in all games on top of adding in other graphical niceties.
The PS2 is better and that came out a generation before.
Power isn't necessarily as limiting as it sounds. Quantum Break shows what smart code can do to help mitigate brute strength. Granted you can absolutely do more with more powerful hardware, but the functional gap won't be as tight as you'd think. Just look at the Xbox 360 Vs PS3. Granted we are now talking about X86 hardware with incredibl low level access from day one.
