I dont think they're quite up there with the likes of Rockstar, Bioware, Naughty Dog, and Valve, but you can always expect a fun game from Insomniac. And yes I read the article.
Aiming should be better. A dot as a reticule isnt great, and you should be able to zoom in since enemies are hard to see. Auto-aim should stay the same when riding on horses though.
I agree the game should pause when selecting weapons, and I also wish the cut scenes were more engaging a la Fallout 3/Mass Effect 2.
But seriously, this is the best open-world game of this generation. Its so awesome.
The problem isnt that it costs $150. The problem is that people have to buy an Xbox 360 and then on top of that buy a $150 peripheral. Of course there's going to be a bundle with Arcade so that it will only cost $300 (probably to overshadow the PS3), but honestly there really is no value in the Arcade unit. Final judgment should be made until we see their killer app, though.

Uncharted 2 IS the bar for all action adventure games. Not even GOWIII dethroned it.
I was hoping we could get it before May, but oh well. Vehicles in multiplayer combined with the super awesome class system from KZ2 will be awesome. Just maintain balance (dumb launchers) and we have a winner :D
Gears 2 technically looks better, but I agree with you. I have to see it in motion, though.

No doubt, Rockstar has done it again. Such an amazing studio, I got the game today and I was reminded how they are just unlike anyone else. Attention to detail=Rockstar.
The 360 version is slightly sharper, the PS3 version looks a bit blurry in comparison due to the QAA used. MLAA should be the standard for all future PS3 titles. Im surprised how little the differences seem in this video though, the screens made it seem way worse. Theres no excuse for the pop-in in the PS3 version, though.

Agreed it wasnt amazing but the direction and potential of the game could go so far. I very much enjoyed the game and Im excited for a sequel.
OMG. I was definitely expecting some insane attention to detail and the best graphics the PS3 can offer, but this is just ridiculous. Seriously, my mind is actually boggled. Holy Crap, PD is definitely up there with Naughty Dog and Rockstar when it comes to attention to detail.
heres hoping it at least hits a million so MS would be inclined to support a sequel.

Pachter assessment of the exclusivity of Agent is inaccurate, I think. Sam Houser said himself that it is a game Rockstar has wanted to make for a long time, there is no way it was conceptualized in 2007. I wouldnt be surprised if it was already in pre-production actually.
Good point, I actually havent seen a new IP this generation from a Japanese developer that blew me away. Not even Nintendo for Christ's sake. I dont expect anything less than a masterpiece from team ICO, though.

Funny. If you've read anything on KZ3 you'll learn that the environments are 10 times bigger than the ones in KZ2, giving you you precious sandbox gameplay and large scale combat. Vehicles were already in KZ2 and they are getting a bigger emphasis in KZ2 (jet packs). And if you think the AI in KZ2 wasnt smart then I really question whether or not you've played that game.
