The game in its current state is almost a night and day difference compared to launch already lol. This just takes it even further in the right direction.
Those specs are a bit exaggerated. My rig isn't near that great and I play the game maxed out just fine. And the game is going to be even more efficient and compatible even on the PC side with the new engine so I'm sure it will do just fine.
They've told the community playing it a while back that they will do the 30 day free period again at relaunch so there you go :)
I ignored Minecraft for a long time with a similar view on it (though not quite THAT close-minded of a view), but when I finally just gave it a try I wished I had never ignored it. It's one of the few games that I can always come back to and can have a different experience with it every single time if you use your imagination. There's nothing overrated about it and it wasn't hyped in the least considering how long it took to catch on.
If I didn't even realize he was in THAT many games he's doing a damn good job in my opinion. And the video game industry needs to hold on to the few good VOs they have. They aren't exactly known for having good ones.

It doesn't have PVP right now but is confirmed to have it when 2.0 (Or now, A Realm Reborn) launches.
Actually the new guy that they put in charge of this game's remake is one of the few good decisions they've made in a long time. He actually listens to us unlike the rest of SE.
Minecraft can either be fairly easy for a PC to handle or really difficult depending on what texture packs and mods you use. I can run BF3 on Ultra and still make my computer crash if I use a 512x texture pack and too high of other settings on Minecraft with no other mods involved.
Games pretty much ARE mainstream now. Anyone that gamed back in the 80's and 90's will notice the huge difference in gaming popularity and hell, even acceptance. Used to, playing games made you a "nerd" or a "dork" even if you were a kid, now it's completely normal for kids and adults to play games. Save for a select few close-minded people of course.
Always thought Borderlands seemed interesting and finally got around to buying it last week to gauge if I might like to get BL2. Been enjoying the hell out of it and losing many hours of sleep without running across a single glitch yet. Looking forward to the sequel.
This. It really is that simple. I was shaking my head the whole time reading the prison guard thing. Chocobos or not that would not feel like a Final Fantasy. I agree about the transsexual thing but at this point I want a good Final Fantasy again so bad I'd even take that as long as it had the things Roper mentioned and the character was at least somewhat interesting.
@Blacktric Umm Premium doesn't give you any exclusive weapons other than a knife that's for looks only. The AUG A3 is part of Close Quarters.
But on-topic, yeah, not surprised at this in the least. But I get to save money on expansion packs and get other nice little extras so for this particular game it's worth it at least. Wouldn't do it for any game that I didn't play regularly and didn't save money by getting the premium service.
While that's usually true 99% of the time, a good movie game pops up once in a while. Spider-Man 2 being one of them.

This finally makes me want PS+ but could someone that already has it let me know if it allows you to save ALL games saves to Cloud? I would have to upgrade my HDD to take advantage of this but last time I did that I lost a lot of data due to not all saves being copy protected.
I'm not even a fan of Mass Effect and this doesn't bother me. Neglecting the game for having a few small Mass Effect dog tags and a small model of a ship that a lot of people probably will never notice unless it's pointed out to them is one of the silliest things I've ever heard. It's not like they make you play as the main character or anything now THAT would warrant that kind of reaction.
Agreed. Maybe make the triggers a bit better somehow but other than that just make it a bit bigger and don't touch anything else, especially the analogs.
I played Borderlands completely alone until I was finished with my first 2 playthroughs and still had a blast. Only regret is how long I waited to buy it.
