The used 11 servers for 4 players in the demo, in a doctored environment. Don't know how much servers would be required to process games for hundred thousands players...
The destruction in Crackdown is only possible because it was demoed with 4 players only and using 11 local servers. I can't wait when the game releases in 2017, with let's say 400.000 MP users ( will it require 11.000.000 servers...?) having to deal with real world internet bandwidths and latency...
That's what Mark Cerny said :
“To the extent that it’s possible to do computing in the cloud,” said Cerny, “PS4 can do computing in the cloud.
“We do some things today,” added Cerny. “Matchmaking is done in the cloud and it works very well. If we think about things that don’t work well, trying to boost the quality of the graphics, that won’t work well in the cloud.”
Azure is a platform dedicated first and foremost to business (office etc..) It's NOT and never will be a pure gaming server farm
Those 300000 servers are virtual for the most part and are not solely dedicated to gaming
I can't imagine the backlash MS will face when Crackdown 3 will not work as demonstrated/advertised when released in the real world, with hundred thousands consoles requiring server's calculations and dealing with each player's ...
@The great gamer : PES 16 resolution is still not confirmed to be 1920x1080 (Full HD) on X1.
It's not and never will be. Keep dreaming little boy
Didn't knew that cloud computing was MS exclusive...
I can't wait for DF comparisons, I'm predicting a 1080PR situation for XB1 (1360x1080, which is barely above 900P, instead of Full HD 1920x1080). This should be fun
Because Sony is not MS. Sony choose to not have a presser at Gamestop. They evaluated that their new games announcements would be better timed during the PGW.
Agreed: A 350$ star wars bundle with an additional bundled game (TLOU or the order or gow remastered) should slaughter whatever X1 bundle MS come with.
Depends. A well timed PS4 price drop might do wonders for Sony on the holiday season.
@Pogmathoin : It was Sony, not MS that helped IIRC
Publisher for the 360 and X1 versions. Not the others
They're probably hoping that announcing the one year delay will make the people who thought that the wait would be shorter to jump on X1 to play this game
Yep, IMHO, you can't bet this is the first and the last timed exclusive that Square Enix will allow on XB1
No confirmation it's 1920x1080 yet (ROTR could be like PES 2016 on X1 : 1360x1080)...Wait and see
@n4rc: The person who stated that Pes 2016 on X1 was 1360x1080 is...Adam Batthi At E3. Sorry guy
We'll talk again about number 6 when DF release their analysis...;-)
Once again, PR stunt: On XB1, pes 2016 res is 1360x1080 that's just above 900p. It's not native 1080p (1920x1080) like on the other console. It's an improvement from 2015 version for sure, but parity is not achieved here.
Because physics are locally done way faster than cloud computed one's.
