It's not a success at all compared to previous Halo. NPD is in a few days and MS will not be able anymore to hide the game's sales and take people for fools with this kind of dishonest spin

A gaming industry with no significant competition, where MS decide everything from your ownership rights to the style of games available, the OS that you need to use etc...? sorry I want choices and not the ones dictated by a gigantic business with a monopolistic advantage

I simply can't stand when Devs/publishers/fanboys try to blur the lines with game's technical specifications. That's all. If mad max is 1920x1080 on both consoles then cool and the dev statement is correct. But if it's, for example, 1360x1080 on one or both consoles then their statement becomes misleading and I hate that.

They are already wary. I read recently that MS tried to secure a timed exclusive for the next Mass Effect but where stonewalled by EA
From a business perspective, your studio is doomed. You'll spend more money and dramatically lenghten your development time to release a game in a platform with a much smaller install base. Good luck turning your game a profit.
Offloading CPU tasks in the cloud will NOT help your local GPU to render more pixels with a faster framerate...
It all come down to the size of your budget. Does it allow you to spend time and ressources developing Your single player game + your traditional multiplayer + a cloud distributed version of your MP only for the console having the smaller userbase ?
If they can't do on both, they will not do it at all. Why ? Because that would cost them more money to develop their engine based on a cloud solution and the console benefiting from it is the one that sells the least.
@lvl_headed_gmr : IIRC Physics and AI are tasks done on CPU. So Freeing Xbox's CPU by doing physics and AI on the cloud (with more latency btw) will not miraculously give XBox GPU less work to do...

Also would not be surprised for PGW to reach or even surpass Gamescom attendees this year. Sony having a conference there will bring the spotlight on this event
