The majority of the reviews are positive, not mixed or negative. I only have to go to metacritic to see that.

The game is damned good.
Sony paid me nothing, and I think it's AT LEAST a 9/10. I still haven't finished yet. I'm doing everything and I'm going to Platinum Trophy the game. Just like I did in Red Dead 2.
But it's not dull and it's not repetitive and it's certainly not a chore. If you think this game is repetitive, dull and a chore, then that means you think ALL open world games are like that. Red Dead 2 and any of the Far Cry games. Days Gone is the most underrated game in history. I'm convinced at this point.
Really crap and rushed review. Even though you gave a great score, you just rushed through the game with the sole purpose of making your backlog a bit lighter. Terrible review. It's almost as if you felt forced to play the game because it sold 10 million copies.

I love the game. 9/10 .... so far. Still pumping hours into this beast.
Not just that, but a NEW IP beats a popular and proven game brand like Mortal Kombat. Days Gone is only on PS4 and MK is multiplat. Amazing.
On a Sony accolades trailer the upvotes are massively in the Majority. If people were not happy with the game, they would have downvoted in droves. That is just not the case. All the top comments are people saying how much they are enjoying the game. If it was bad, this just would not be happening.

I've been playing for about 40 hours. Only seen one single bug. After I finished having the flashback for 'picking Lavender' ... my Melee weapon I had on my back went missing and I couldn't pick up the bat I had in the lookout camp, I had to travel to a location to pick up a new melee weapon. THAT'S IT.
After 40 hours lol. That's honestly the truth. But enjoy the vid
