It seems for one to really enjoy this game, you have to do 3 things.

Dust 514 as FPS is GARBAGE. But I'm still playing. You see I like the "building your Ultimate drop suit" part of this game. Its what keeps me playing.
This is not MAG. Nor is it tribes or planet side. Nor socom, vegas, nor unreal.
It's a MMOFPS. With the emphasis on the MMO part. That's bad and good. The bad that at it's core it's not that great of a fps. But the mmo/rpg (whatever) part it does well.

But I do to some extent in Insomniac. I would wait for demo before I deem the game a failure. I find amusing tho, that many of the negative feedback comes from those that don't trust EA (rightfully so) or those hold a grudge against insomniac becouse them moving away from sony.

Again are we called upon. Yes, Demon souls levels were harder. But also Yes that Dark Souls bosses were tougher, and more memorable. Hold thy tongue? Compared with ff7,and ff8 (not talking about graphics) it sucked. Shoot Zidane from ff9 was more of a bad ass than tidus.
"But, But how can I say this?!" Easy, cause I find tidus as intimidating as group of kpop singers. You have to have some intimidating factor,(bad or good guy)and if not in beginning of game, then towards the end. Cloud was bad ass as Odin. Tidus as a pissed off fairy.

Yup, Guys in games back then were made of much harder stuff. They accepted their path or lot in life, and braved through it, not teared up like a child going to see the doctor.
Tomb Raider is NOT horror. I'm actually damn offended. If your not getting paranoid as you play. If the memory of the game doesn't haunt long after you turned off the system, Then its not a horror. Horror is the invocation of fear. If it doesn't succeed to unnerve you in the way a great horror movie can, then its not horror. Fatal frame is horror. resident evil 2. Siren. You should NOT feel at "ease" playing a horror. otherwise your just playing a tense game.

Consoles games on PC sucks. Always will. They don't port right. Max settings? give me a break, what the bloody hell does that matter when they don't right? You play a fighting game for pc? check out steam's catolog and tell how half of those strategy, mmo, and indie's are good? max settings for a game that looks like crap. (outside of the shooters) Now thats my own personal taste.

to the masses here. Difference of culture. Japanese go for the more passive route in games. the west goes for the most aggressive. Am I saying that japan games all feature crying boys who just want to be held? No. for every crying "Naruto", there is a "Dark Schneider". I'm playing uncharted 3, and skyrim on ps3. Before that assasins creed, and dark souls. Its still the year of the ps3 in this household.
side note for the pc loving cheeky monkeys. Yes, I have it for my rig. And yes I'm using the nude\rape mods. Its nice.
