As I own every system known to man, with over 9000 games, I tend to notice trends in the industry. While 1X has power, it will also struggle to actually show it because the PS4 is still outselling it by over 100000 weekly in regions we measure. Meaning that all those purchasers will not even give a second glance to the 4k on the X1, because they are focusing on what they chose to purchase. In business, you don't have to shift marketing costs into what's selling. They do a great job of marketing what separates them from the competition, games. With a strong library any console cements its place in the market.
