It is because it is Nintendo why people want to support the Switch, because the Vita is still a more capable machine. Voice chat, party, cross play, cloud save, web browser, media, remote play, just name a few. With a few great exclusives to boot, now let's put the double standards to rest please. I have both and have more reasons to play my Vita atm.
Actually the Vita has 3 or 4 times the titles of the Switch, you know since they are also amongst the ports to the Switch. Ys, Fate, Severed, etc. are games that are also on the Vita.
Is it too hard to understand that with upgrading a game, there are cost involved to do so. Down grading a game is also necessary to optimize it to run, but like vita games that release alongside their PS3 or PS4 counterpart, there is a price reduction because the quality is reduced. JS

Pokemon is only one game, and with all games, it's appeal will wane, hence having to release new iterations. Sony has a volume of amazing titles not just a couple that they're banking on.
