lol but pc has barely any original games to speak off except a few dozen mmos.

What makes you believe hackers can't replicate that serial key patch if they have already replicated Sony's digital firm?
And what Sony is saying is.. "well they have our OLD keys lets make new ones and print these individual keys on each one of the millions of the millions of discs we sent out to retail" the key here is that, each key on each disc is different and there are millions and millions of copies of said games?
So ex...
lol thats exactly what i mean, akuma may be a cool character and all but the guy is essentially another ryu, his creation was basically an idea that came from ryu and ken.
So..whats the final tally 36? 40? characters? and below is a great example of how to misuse available space.
And it goes something like this... wolverine and x23, hulk and she hulk, dante and trish. christ, jill, wesker, and oh yeah throw in the tyrant while you are at it, i am sure most of...
Online connectivity isn't required for these key which according to this article come printed on the discs themselves.
So as soon as you pop that bad boy in, the process takes place like a regular patch or update if you will.
Yeah thats what i was thinking, something like a small patch i would assume. This update if you will is what communicates with Sony, verifies the authentication of your copy and simply registers it to your console.
I personally think this will work, but at the same time it will make it a pain for many to have to deal with on the normal basis; specially when factoring the already updates and patches one normally have to deal with.
The general idea is that each...
it would be nice if those with psn+ accounts didn't have to pay fees, Sony could easily use some of that money to invest in these mmos and make some profit on top of it all via an increase number of new registrants.
Imagine one half of the admission price pays for the psn+ service while the other covers the cost of playing these mmos on a monthly basis. I think that would make many sign up for psn+
Doesnt surprise me. I mean while blur might have been a good game, it according to activision standards wasnt successful.
The only game this company will ever be remember by is project gotham and we all know too well M$ owns the rights to that franchise.
Had it been someone like sega or take two I dont think activision would be closing them. Just due to the fact of their established properties and their name alone.
Bizzare doesnt strike me as...
Sales wise no, everything else wise yes.
Too many back to back, they all feel rushed and unpolished to say the least nevermind them old map packs they save and sell as new.

Servers arent really dedicated and there are too many cheaters around.
Not like this is the only franchise with these issues, but being one of the biggest one would think they put more effort in the overall development of these games and not so much in marketing like they usually...
Lol but... I so want them to do it. This will start a revolution and a change in gaming culture.
Imagine call of duty no longer the biggest selling title around, lol c mon kottick do it, just do it for me will ya?
I know for a fact I will live playing something else.
Lol thats what I am saying. Customer service at its finest from yours trully.
In a way them doing this is like them pulling the trigger on themselves.
Go ahead shut the servers down do me a favor (not like I play let alone buy call of duty games anyways), maybe this way good games actually start benifiting with greater sales numbers.
Lol I mean, could you imagine if this happened on the 360? Those people would kill themselves as if they had n...
He said the 3DS is a different device while psp2 is just an upgrade of the psp.
Now I dont mean to sound like a fanboy here but is that even fair to say?
I mean the 3DS to me from where i stand is just an update of the DS with 3D graphics. Nothing special if we really think about it.
In essence the ps3 is now able to display games in 3D and does that make it different enough for me to say it will be a reason why it will or should outperform t...
Now if sony could start applying this mentality to all their soe games, like DC universe online, the agency, free realms, everquest 3 whenever that comes out.
Than this will make the psn that much greater, perhaps give it an edge over xbox live.
And part of all this includes cloud, which from I understanding makes it safer version?
I believe final fantasy 13 pt 2 is nothing more than a half of the original game. I believe they cut the game in half in order to release it within a short time frame and as a multiplatform title at that.
Had final fantasy 13 been a fully complete game as originally intended, then the game would be coming this year instead of a year ago.
And might not had been a multiplatform game neither; however had they chose to keep it multiplatform regardless than it wou...
And this is how the 360 is suppose to be selling faster than ps2 did at this time around last generation according to some people on here.
Both playstation one and two sold extremely well in every market not just a one a half.
But on topic, if things dont change soon we could be looking at a sega dreamcast all over again, only in the form of a 360 in japan.
So much for all those exclusive rpgs they pay for early on."oh well cant say the...
Glad to see youre back my friend. As always great comment, and,i agreed with your assesment.
Soe is another key asset to sony, and its resume speaks valume.
Everquest 3 I hear is in development, than you got the agency and god knows how many high quality pc games that are sitting there to get the approval to a ps3 port.
Dc universe online is doing good, again soe is just another asset of sony's; in essence it sure doesnt hurt being a ps3 owner.
Off topic, I wonder whatever happened to that exclusive deal sony and ncsoft had a few years ...
Another street fighter and task master? Sigh
Wow is the current king of mmos just like GT is the definite king of racing sims, its been around for ages and killing addicts world wide literally.
However before wow took the crown, there was a small game call everquest which was at the time the biggest mmo out there. So its not like these guys dont know what they are doing, if anything they know how to make successful games.(funny how sony always seems to have a hand in/on major brands)
Speaking of sony, t...
