I can sort of see the authors point but what the heck is the point of this article? To convince me not to but new games and only get old games? Ummm....no. Your points are silly. Because of cheapness is the only reason if you’re on a budget. If you have kids and a family and you think you’ll never finish your backlog, we’ll I’d suggest only buying the absolute must play games that you determine that fit that criteria. Screw backlogs, I have kids, a wife, a house and a full time job. I love pl...

I didn’t read the article but just answering the title here. For me, I just started getting in to open world games, the first one was Watchdogs. So I’m just getting started really so I say bring them on. As for the repetitive nature, of done correctly it doesn’t feel that way but repetition can get boring and ruin a game

Batman was not a bore, but I do want a different character. I wouldn't be excited if it was another Batman game, probably wouldn't consider it either.

Please explain “empty”. Idk what you’re talking about because there’s always something to do and see. To me that is far from empty

I get what you’re saying but the popularity of it alone means it won’t drop in price soon. Paying the extra $15 or so now is worth the price to jump in on the action instead of months down the road. Is a few months of waiting for a great new IP worth $15?

I agree, I’ve been gaming since 1986 and this is also one of the best and memorable games to date for me. Also as a new IP, which we’ve all been wanting, they know excited to see a trilogy set for. Days Gone is amazing, Days Gone 2 will be so much better because they can perfect their craft. I’m glad I jumped on board on Day One. Made me see how some reviewers have an agenda and it’s pathetic

I’m too busy with my back log of Knack and Knack 2 to be bothered right now, I know what you mean. /sarcasm

Same for me, I got there last night. For the longest time I thought I explored most of them map then comes “the point of no return” and BOOM!!! An entire huge area opens up! I was blown away and also realized I’m just now about half way through with tons more to do.

You hit the nail on the head. I usually get fatigue from the open world games I play and begin to rush through them. Days Gone is literally the only fully open world game I’m taking my time and just exploring and seeing everything I can. It’s phenomenal IMO and I’m about 25 hours in and still haven’t felt any fatigue of the sorts. Heck, I can’t wait to play later lol

I’m down for a part three. I was in for the first two and enjoyed them a lot. Day one buy for me. I like the tech world and they way hacking was implemented and the use of puzzles were entertaining. There aren’t very many open world games I like, Days Gone, Watchdogs, HZD, GTAV are pretty much the only titles I liked

Lol, ok. Let a setting determine that? That’s crazy

Nice review and you mention the use of the Move controllers for shooting. Can you use the rail gun for this game?

2456d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Agreed! Last night I was playing and depending on where they were shot, they’d react and bend to that side or limb effected by the bullet. Not all people fall and stay lifeless with the copy and paste body position either. It’s all relative to the world and physics. It’s amazing, the most detailed game I’ve seen yet. And yes, I played RDR2, this is better. Much better

Have you played it? If you have you’d know what we’re defending. If you haven’t played it and are going off of reviews from critics, then you’re sadly mislead and blinded by them. This is one epic game with a living unpredictable world. It shouldn’t be missed IMO

Nope, I still wouldn't buy it. $399 for a Xbox Two is laughable and only in dream world will you see these low prices. Doesn't matter to me tho, MS screwed the pooch so bad this Gen they lost me and multiple friends of mine as consumers. Sony now gets our gaming money, it's the safest and surest bet when it comes to games. That's what we purchase them for right? Games after all is why I have a console in the first place and MS failed at delivering quality 1st party games. I s...

@Hardiman
I was pretty much exactly as you were with MS and the original Xbox. I loved it and I bought the 360 before I purchased my PS3, I wouldn't have purchased it at all actually but my girlfriend at the time bought it for me as a Bday gift. 360 crashed so many times, after my 3rd one I said screw it, my money went to Sony. I bought Uncharted and God of War, end of story. I was hooked and stayed with Sony since without disappointment. My One, well it started to collect dust s...

Well I was interested in this but, now not so much. I love Ghost games and I don’t mind connecting online for patches and stat keeping but having to be “always” online is bothersome. Sometimes connections to a sever fail, internet goes down, and other small issues but “always” online bugs me. Not buying it

Lmao!!!!! Nope, not from me. I’ve owned every Xbox per generation and I will no longer support them. I will not buy the next x box. Imo, Xbox doesn’t make games good enough for me to buy one of their consoles. Stinky on the other hand is constantly pushing out new IPs and support the already stellar exclusives they have now. Yea, I see no reason at all to buy an Xbox

Then you don’t mind getting ripped off. Sorry but not for me, I prefer deals and sales. Better deals on physical than digital

So am I. Go stream only and I’ll start buying a huge backlog of games I’ve always wanted to play but decided not to because of lack of time. If/when im done with that I’ll just do life more lol
