It' says it in the first few sentences. 5.1 million total PS4 and X1s have been sold. 3.5+1.5=5. My math is not off, it's actually elementary so you messed up somewhere. So if you take 5 million and divide it in half you get 2.5. If PS4 sold one million more units than X1, add that to the 2.5 to get .......3.5 million for PS4! Wow! Don't forget to subtract 1 million from the X1 tho, from 2.5 they go down to 1.5 million units.
I'm sorry but, that looked awful IMO. Looked slow, dumb AI and when there was an enemy to shoot, they were either invincible or hit detection is off. I'll pass unless there are massive changes.

If this is too expensive for you, either get a job, get educated to make more money or save up for it. If you really want it, you'll get it if you try hard enough.
Let's do some comparing here, and I don't mean tech. When the Rift and Vive were announced all we heard about was the price. Now that Sony makes and affordable VR headset there are articles coming out of every crack that wants to write an article slamming the PSVR. Where were these articles at with Rift and Vive? Thanks for the info about all games being compatible with DS4 controllers. That's all I care about actually. I want the immersion of visuals with the headset and still be able to play with my regular controller. If this is 100% accurate, I won't purchase the motion controllers. Never liked motion controls to begin with.

I'll never go digital only. The only digital games I own are free games from Live or PSN. I play the disc game and trade it in for credit towards a new game, you can't do that with digital. How about a game that you want to play and buy two months after release? Yep, you can play it but only if you pay full price going digital. This article is full of assumptions and guess work. I will NOT become a PC gamer, I love the ease of consoles. Put the disc in and start playing. If I have to upgrade my console every year or so just to play a game after spending $500 on the console itself, you can count me out. That's the sole reason I don't play on PC. Speak for yourself. I've been waiting for VR since I was a teenager, I'm 35! I'll game with this on if the game suits it, such as Ace Combat or a FPS. Heck, I don't even know, I may want it on for every game I buy if that's possible. Don't try and put negativity on something before it even comes out, give it a try. You may love it.
OMG, Ace Combat alone is enough for me! I'd even do Killzone again if it was the firs available shooter re done for the PSVR. I plan on getting this pre order anyways, I want to see this tech succeed and next gen will be even better if it gets the support it needs.
Lol! I agree, I'm constantly in a 1:3 K/D ratio. I suck but I have a lot of fun playing, just wish I was with people more like my skill level to make it an even playing field.
This is how I'm beginning to feel. At first I liked some of the remakes but, now I'm tired of them. No more remakes for me, I want new IPs, especially VR games. I've already played The Last of Us Remastered and Gears of War Remastered this gen, I don't really care to purchase anymore remasters just to experience VR on launch. If I have to I will, hoping there's a good lineup of good games that are in development for it.
How can it flop if it hasn't even released yet? You have to have expected sales vs actual sales comparison data to form an opinion on success or failure. That's a foolish comment to make on your part.

What makes you think people won't wear this thing often? I plan on using it for every game and chance I can. I don't understand why so many people are against this, and so defensive of their opinion.
If you think you can get game changing VR technology for $99 you're crazy. Imagine how big of a piece of junk the headset would be for $99. And you expect to get 1080p HD 120 fps, no latency, and something to actually work for more than a month for $99? I'm expecting at least $300, for that price we'll get quality products that will last. Don't be so cheap, unless youre the type of person who only buys used games and bargain bin games, this is definitely not for you.
Great news! I loved Watch Dogs. People complained about a lot of mechanics such as driving, but I thought the game was amazing and never had any issues. This is a definite pre order for me.
