This would be awesome, loved MK2, best in the series imo.

No it is true, the newer ps3s retain the firmware on the HDD. As long as the old HDD isnt formatted or changed then they can just plug it back in and the system will work.
The issue that you are having is separate from the one from this article.
The goofy thing is if they had their original hdd they would be able just to put it back in and they would be good to go...
This happened with 3.41 and it was rectified later. It will be fine people. The suit has no merit, its just greedy people.
What does anyone expect them to say, there are still loads of PSP units out there for sale. YOu expect them to say , well thats its, were done with this system and then just drop it. THey would have millions (or something large atleast) of units to deal with. That would be just be silly
Sales are going to drop rather quickly for it though. However, i bet online game sales go up when the NGP comes out as the PSP games are compatible with th NGP.

Of course not, we pay to BE early adopter. If i buy a gen 1 of an item i get it for usually a year or more before the next version comes out.

Ive considered getting one and putting xbmc on it, apparantly you can do that and still have netflix on it. Pretty awesome imo.
Thanks, wish they had a comic reader for ps3 as well. Oh well i guess i will wait till the NGP gets it, i assume it will have a comic reader at least.
