Anyways I am very interested in this modding idea, usually PC gamers are able to make mods to the data file of the games to include updates i.e. visual updates and enhancements etc I wonder if they will be able to beef up the games visuals even further and have that update availalbe for the PS3 version? Now that would be very interesting however it would have to be built with the PS3's capabil...

It was actually 1yr AHEAD of its time when released since it was built on a custom API of DX9 and DX10 features.
Its only around a year behind an 8800 since that is full DX10.
But yeah looking at the visuals the only time I could see a difference was the second water scene where it was gushing down the PC version was better then.
But overall the 360 version is pretty tied with the PC version.

and all the other top games prove that for ACTUAL GAMEPLAY CONTENT (before anyone throws Blue Dragon in there as it has lots of CGI) you dont need a HD disc.
