Take a minute. Stop comparing the graphics side-by-side. Buy the game, like I did, play it for what it is. I’ve been playing it for a few hours now and can’t believe I’m playing this on a handheld. The vids are clearly favoring the PS4 pro. And that's a shame because I'm an xbox and Switch owner and am not finding a reason to upgrade my Xbox one. These comparison vids have to be faked or marked wrong. Please someone make sense of why the PS4's lighting affects and detail in level are CLEARLY visible even on a YouTube video when it obviously will look better on a device that you can view it in 4k. Just wow.
I completely and utterly agree. I played every iteration of GT they had and probably sunk 100's of hours into GT2. But GT 5 halted my love for the series. A pc does a whole lot more than just play games, even more than the Xbox one x has to offer at least from what they told us the console will do. 100% agreed. People need to understand, between PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2, between Xbox original Xbox 360, there were clear, CLEAR Graphical upgrades plainly seen. That in itself was a reason to spend the money on a PlayStation 2 or Xbox 360. On top of that, those respective consoles did a lot more things than its predecessor. As a gamer who tries to get everything out of a game I really enjoy, an achievement/trophy system would be wonderful, especially as a huge Nintendo fan. I could imagine some of those achievements for games like the original Super Mario Bros. It just adds something more to a game you may have beaten and gives you another goal/ reason to play. Idk, it does appeal to me.
Yes, I went and played 7 and ones before it, then got into 9. Only problem is, you hold the game that made you love this series to a higher standard, so when I went to any other FF, I was like "where is the draw system?" They had a ton of summons (GF's) and A lot of the fun in that game for me were searching for them. Hope a remake happens soon.
And this is why they are in a hate love relationship with gamers. Say what you will about the system having "mostly ports," you can not play Skyrim, Wolfenstien 2 or any other game for that matter, the way you do on the Switch, WITH the control options they offer. If people were that upset at remakes and definitive editions, publishers wouldn't keep making them if people wouldn't keep purchasing them. Love the current state of the Switch and it keeps getting better!
Still waiting on an 8 rerelease. :( Many people disliked it, but it was MY FF7, as I didn't get my PlayStation til 8 was released. Here's to hoping.
