Rage is designed with consoles in mind and it has always been their target to get 60 fps. That naturally means both platforms. Doom is supposed to be a 30 fps game meaning it will have better graphics. If they cant get Rage above 30 fps then they cant get doom above 15 fps and there is no way Id will release Doom with 15 fps. I dont think people should worry about this statement as its only momentarily behind the 360 version and will be sorted before release.
This doesnt really say anything about how the final product will be. Carmack himself said PS3 has about 20% more theoretical power. I doubt he would let the PS3 version run at half the framerate. That would put a scratch in his reputation.
Im not sure if i understood what you meant but a game like MW2 doesnt need to sell more then 2 million copies to be profitable. The game will however sell 15 million copies and Activision will likely make several hundred million dollars in profit.
Dude. Developers could keep working on their games forever, but that wouldnt work. Games have release dates, thats just how it is. They work hard to get as much in there until the game ships. But since they theoretically always could have worked a little longer on the game, does that mean that the game always will lack some features it should have had? Ofcourse not. Actually 360 GPU is stronger then the RSX at doing certain calculations. Its not across the board superior. It just so happen that the cell can process some of that data freeing up performance on the RSX so that it can actually do more then on the 360.
