The difference is that the 360 had no competition so it wasnt that bad, there was nothing to compare the 360 with.
On the other hand when you launch a console with no games like Sony did and have a competitor that is hitting its stride like the 360 was THEN you have a problem.
You see, no conspiracy.
Im sure Sony wouldnt mind investing less on exclusives and and be ahead of the competition like MS and Nintendo.
Different companies, different business models. And so far Ninty and MS are the ones who have grown this gen, Sony on the other hand have lost major market share.
Prior to this gen:
Sony = 240 million consoles sold, ten years experience, Playstation synonymous with gaming
MS = 25 million consoles sold.
And with no exclusives whatsoever this year so far MS are STILL leading Sony five years later.
Sony better do some serious thinking about how the heck they're still last before launching the PS4.

Well MGS4 had hours, no, more like years of cutscenes. Kojima could like make half as many cutscenes and wouldnt have any trouble fitting it on 2 discs for instance. Hell FF13 was something like 35gb and 25gb was for the CG.
Take away half of MGS4's cutscenes and you still have as many cutscenes as other MGS games.

Anyways, 360 on fire since Kinect so its kind of expected. I dont think Sony are ever going to pass MS this gen. MS have managed to counter the price cuts, slim PS3, exclusives..
CDProjekt is a small PC studio. Pretty obvious why Witcher 2 isnt on PS3. You know some devs aint ready to go through the hassle of developing for "THE CELL!!!".

If Sony leaves the industry I'll play exclusively on MS and Nintendo platforms as well as the platform of the company who will see the opportunity to fill the void.

Looks like AAA (by that I mean big budget/hype etc) jrpg's are definately dieing. Otherwise you have to get a PSP/DS because thats where they seem to have migrated.

Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect series and Fable series all say hi.
BTW there isnt a single multiplat wrpg this gen that has sold more on the PS3. 360 version always sells more.
I challenge you to name a single wrpg on the PS3 that has outsold a 360 version.
The thing is that on the 360 GAMES sell in general, from shooter to wrpg and the numbers prove it.
