I am absolutely sold on this game! This and Silent Hills are right up my alley.
@Angry
I agree, I look at what Naughty Dog accomplished on PS3 @720p. Sure higher resolution is great, but it is definitely not the only metric.
What did they do? Deserve to get paid.
By funding a MASTERPIECE, I think they're exempt, it to me is obvious why somebody would want to try to discredit this game. The dlc, if somebody has looked isn't expensive, its low cost, why not they deserve to get paid kind of stuff.
Who would that be? Hmmmm...
@ Headwing45
"What madness is this?"
The kind where MS force-fed their early adopters B.S. they never asked for, then soon after took a big steaming dump all over their loyal faces.
Was definitely hoping for faster load times after years of load screens on the PS3 that lasted so long I originally thought my console had hung. I assumed with the ram upgrade that would be lessened. I'm loving it though, the actual game is amazing, just as they've all been.
I'd like to stream to my upstairs bedroom TV sometimes, does anybody know if vita TV is the only solution? I already have a vita...
Finally a score i can agree with, this game is amazing! Sure there will always be room for improvement, especially with their first game on the platform, with that taken into consideration I can't wait for Sucker Punch's next...the possibilities!
Absolutely can't wait, games like this make me proud to own a PS4!
I prefer Ready at dawn to execute on their vision, I trust in them completely.
It's gonna be AWESOME, can't wait for Tuesday! All questions about the ratio, presentation will be answered. My prediction, you will see one of the most beautifully crafted games of all-time. For someone like me who has been addicted to games for 30+years I've seen quite a bit, I can see the passion connected with the talent necessary to be able to execute on a beautiful vision. Thank ...
weird, but playroom works fine.
Maybe you Just Can't Dance? J/K man, my wife's been using it on it and actually prefers camera tracking on body rather than using the move, says it's really accurate...Have you tried going into settings and calibrating camera on PS4?
To all the naysayers, it's Ready at dawn. A truly talented dev group, I for one am getting a little impatient I NEED to play this game. The black bars is genius allowing more quality per pixel to be lavished upon the screen, while keeping frame rates higher. Kind of reminds me of playing DOOM and Wolfenstein on my PC back in the day, it allowed window reduction to improve fps, but in this case the developer will be able to do more with the quality per pixel because it's designed this ...
@Sammy777 & The_Infected
Exactly.
I guess this is what happens when the hardware group and software group WORKS together. The difference in raw performance is phenomenal but without being esoteric, thats the key to all of this...the time to triangle, and mastery won't be nearly as long as in the past because of this wonderful collaboration. Thank you Mark Cerny and Thank you SONY, be very PROUD.
yeah I know and my friends bros sister makes $9999/Mo sitting in front of the kinect! It's a 10 for me really i get the little things here and there, they'll get it worked out. I agree on the controller (DS4)...best ever when they get that battery life up, i'm alt. between two.
on the off chance...with only a 500 GB hdd and huge mandatory installs I know i'll be opening mine soon. it's all good though I love it, really it's just an excuse to get up in there and put a little custom in it, lol. thank you Mr. Tretton for freeing up some inventory so that I and other very lucky PS4 owners could stay up nites, get very little sleep and go to work tired everyday, oh yeah my wife too is very thankful.
Cerny has already talked about this, it sounded like Sony inhouse modifications both in custom hardware and system software. This hUMA like memory access system was a determining factor in GDDR5's inclusion. In the same discussion Cerny mentions a desire to further enhance coherency and performance within a replication of the SPURS engine, which was the fantastic tool that allowed massive parallelism with the CELL and RSX's handling of memory and compute orders to significantly impro...
Yeah I switched mine too...whatever man. There is just so much of this crap lately, if I was a conspiracy theorist I'd think some of this sh@t was paid for. All the reasons given weren't enough to justify a change. but like I said whatever.
when I saw that it was best buy bundling the new 12gb PS3 I expected the logical bundle coming from them, considering they sell laptop hard drive's...it would of made more sense to tie in a good capacity hard drive. But then again I don't what kinda margin they have to play with. Either way it's good to see a lower cost alternative for the consumer, with user upgradeability of the PS3 hard drive I've actually thought this made sense as an option from the onset, even with the ...
Yeah I'm there! Had a blast playing Second Son.
