The reality that created this rumor is the revision that has been planned for some time. The one that gives allows 4k output on PS4. That upcoming hardware revision has been known since launch. To me it's impending roll out has created this "news". LOL

My thoughts exactly the screen tearing was jarring back in the day a number of the early PS3 games suffered from it. Bluepoint eliminating that upping res, along with the buttery frame rate and enhanced mech make this is a very special trip down memory lane. I'm having a blast! Only wish I had more time to play. I'm there with ya. Normally I don't but for Uncharted well lets just say my decision was yes as soon as I saw it! Besides when you do the kinda job they consistently do they DESERVE to get paid well! Same goes for microtransactions I see them as a form of tipping for great service, I know my feelings are different and thats fine...

I can appreciate the reason for the wait but it doesn't make it easier, lol! Sony has shown me how all in they are this gen. I've always felt they had more heart, the tech and engineering prowess is definitely there but to also see them not rushing to market without the software. It's a fantastic showing of lessons learned and that knowledge being utilized. Kind of like this whole PS4 experience we're enjoying!

I certainly agree, this is an amazing upside potential. This is the type of studio purchase that makes sense. The studio is devalued needs assistance, and has amazing talent! Guidance, management bolstering, staffing increase and over all capital infusion by Sony would be all that would be necessary to ensure success. Would be a welcome, low cost addition to WWS! DO IT SONY!!!
