I agree with you, but to be honest, they announced this cloud thing YEARS too early.
They had no demonstration or proof of concept, then microsoft did all this backpedaling with their xbox console features.

I hope it will be possible in the future, but you will still need a pretty hefty internet speed to take advantage of it I would think, which most of the world does not have.

The standard gtx980 can run everything maxed out at 60fps with every game I've thrown at it.
With consoles holding back games on PC due to 'comparity to consoles'. I don't see a game ever using that much power till maybe next gen consoles.
And even then, next NEXT gen console hardware will be light years behind what PC's...
