MW3 doesn't have textures.
Watching this footage actually made me feel very bad for people who don't own a PS3. Whoever brought Gears of War 3 into this needs help immediately, because Gears of War 3 doesn't even look as good as Drake's Fortune, a PS3 launch game.

I'm glad to see all that John Carmack praise paid off in the end. Tsk tsk tsk. The textures in this game disappear so often you could go as far as to say Rage only runs at 60 frames per second because it has no textures. So much for 5 years, eh Carmack? 10 hour campaign of no textures, last generation ragdoll physics, and sub-HD goodness.
From Software really screwed up this time around. Ever since the decision to make Dark Souls multiplatform, From Software decided to make this game sub-HD and heavily compressed both versions of the game.
Both versions are under 5 gigs (due to DVD on 360), and are not native HD where Demon's Souls ran natively at 1280x720p. The overall quality issues are just disgusting and insulting to PS3 owners who are by now used to jaw-dropping PS3 exclusives. The frame rate also rem...

What detail? The environment is completely dead with nothing going on, moving the camera around makes the textures disappear. You have to wait for them to pop up again, on both console versions. So much for "Killzone killer." If John Carmack couldn't do it, no one else will. Killzone 2 & 3 remain the undisputed FPS graphics kings on consoles.

The truth about Rage is that it has the worst pop-up issues ever seen on a console game. Simply moving the camera results in pop-ups and blurry surfaces. Everything in the Uncharted 3 beta already feels super polished and I really can't stress enough how insane the graphics are. No jaggies, smoothest 30 fps I've ever seen, no slowdown whatsoever, jaw-dropping texture work, etc.

PR bull from Crytek's most annoying employee. Crysis on consoles isn't even HD or 30 fps locked. The texture quality is also significantly reduced. The trees even look different.

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks a multiplatform console game can graphically outdo AAA PS3 exclusives needs to seek help and possibly a new brain immediately.
Battlefield 3 on consoles doesn't even come close to Killzone 2, so why compare it to 3? I could gather the textures in one level of Killzone 3 (or 2) and it'd be more than Battlefield 3 has in its entire campaign.
