That's a lie. N4G got "up in arms about" and "trashed" Kinect Star Wars(850k sales), Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor(40k sales), and The Witcher 2 Xbox version(48k sales) and they all sold poorly.
It's definitely a hard sell. Soccer mommies and grandparents won't fork over $300 for a new Wii. The hardcore won't fork over #300 just to play Batman when they already own an identical version on their PS3 or Xbox.
Please don't try and use Bayonetta 2 as a system seller. Bayonetta 1 barely sold 1.5 million on PS3 and Xbox combined. What soccer mommy would be interested in Bayonetta on a Wii?

This was expected. The first one didn't sell and the second one don't appeal to the Wii kiddies and soccer moms so it won't sell either.
It was a contender from the start and immediately became the best paid service in gaming. For $50 a year you get tons of free games that are not free anywhere else verses paying $60 a year just to rent the multi player portion of the games you already paid $60 for.
PS+ is a service which means if you don't pay you can't play the free games just like if you don't pay for XBL you can't access the multi player half of you games anymore. It's a no brainer. <...
