Neither is Kinect accurate. Why do you think it produces the worst scoring and worst selling games of all time like Steel Battalion which sits at a 39 metascore and only 20k sells?
You have a good point. Just look at all of the copy cats that tried "replace" or "outdo" Gran Turismo but failed miserably. One of the rip offs got to 5 million sold but the sequel declined all the way down to 2.5 million though. GT5 an GT5P have sold over 12 million copies.
So yeah, I doubt this game can "replace" Smash Bros.

The Metacritic average is a whopping 39 and this amateur reviewer gave it a 9/10? Also, it only sold a measly 20k copies. With the lowest sales and reviews of any game I've ever seen in my life Steel Battalion is dead thanks to the "magic of Kinect".

The article basically says don't be like MS's conference which I whole heartedly agree with. It was a pretty bad conference and the industry and fans all agree.
Only Sony supports new IPs. The Last of Us and Beyond are both new IPs releasing next year when supposedly new consoles are releasing. Who else but Sony would do that? The competition will only give you free apps and ads at this point.

Likewise, not suprisingly most of Myamoto's work is Mario related. Yes, he also made Zelda and a couple of other great games, but Kojima has much better games.

Not at all. More and more games are using multiple DVDs these days though. The DVD is an ancient storage medium causing devs who don't want to pay for multiple disc to cut content from games in order to squeeze it onto one DVD making the Blu-Ray version suffer. Other than that I don't see any problems with current gen gaming.
The PS3 has too many great exclusives to narrow it down to only 10. That's impossible.
